trading Schrempy would be a huge mistake for the Oilers. He will turn into a very good 2nd liner with 1st line potential.

I disagree with most of your rankings as well, understanding that they are not standings predictions, but i give you lots of credit for the effort you put into it, you made it interesting and it was a very nice read.

Also, just because people disagree with you, does not mean you are wrong either. So, keep up the good work.

You are not alone in the concept that a guy needs to develop stamina by playing longer seasons. But I think this concept is a bunch of b.s.

If I am an athlete who is used to working hard for 33 weeks out of the year and all of a sudden I have to work for 35 weeks, supposedly my body will recognize this and I will be toast in week 36? I can see the argument if you are making the jump from university to the NHL, but nobody is burnt out because they are not used to playing round 1 of the playoffs.

*sigh* I know I'm gonna get bashed... but the Leafs did not sacrifice the future... they sacrificed picks in a crummy draft... they got a 30 year old goalie who's entering his prime and a 26 year old powerforward who was excellent in Chicago with no1 to play with, and really just had a bad year due to off-ice issues. will he rebound? who knows, but he has been good, and therefore there's a chance he comes back, a rather good one, I think. Leafs then went out and signed a goalie who trained with the best in the world to give pointers to their future goalie. They then signed Blake, who will hopefully be a good winger for one of our top 2 centers... Wellwood or Sundin.

Goaltending tandem + trainer for future goal tender
young powerforward with physical play and offensive upside
gave up on cherepanov/esposito... true... but who thought they would go down that far... seriously... it was a bite in the ass, but hey, hindsight is 20/20... I think JFJ did good this off season.

and by the way... you got both MTL and Toronto at 15...

my bad, you're right. Colorado, i listed the cities and forgot to change that one back.

and btw, these are real. everyone gets so uptight about whos better and can't have civil arguments, instead turning them into put downs, swearing, and what not. i am not from california. i am from PA. if you haven't figured it out, these rankings are in geographical location west to east.

i definately think Det is better, right now, than LA and Edm (no offense guys, but they are) and I like Ottawa to win the division, it's not that storng of one.
