So you're saying the Habs will have enough money and cap room to re-sign Radek Bonk, Mike Johnson and Andrei Markov, give new contracts to Michael Ryder, Christopher Higgins, Tomas Plekanec, Alexander Perezhogin and Mike Komisarek...and still can afford to sign big name players like Bill Guerin, Dainius Zubrus, Chris Phillips and/or Kimo Timmonen ?

No way ! Even if they release Kovalev and Samsonov and don't sign Souray back, they won't have the cap room to do all that.

Bring kids from Hamilton, like Cote.Trade for Lecavaliere, Laperiere and Briere and see what a team it would be.

your 3rd line has 5 players to many on it.

habs arnt signing any free agents, especially not gueirn,(20 Goals at most), or Zubrus. why would they sign a guy for 3 or 4 mill when a kid in the minors will put up pretty close numbers for 500,000k. there definetly wont be another samsonov/audette move this year. wait one more season for that to happen again. lol

more kids will come up from hamilton.

Man what are you talking about . How old is "Guerin" 55 and how long i'v you been following the habs , we bood zubrus out of MONTREAL . What Montreal need to do is get rid of the lazy playas like Samsonov,Bonk,Jonhson,Niinimaa,Souray,Aebiescher these so call playas are worth 14 000000 dollars get rid of these bums (if only we could get rid of Kovy and Perezhogin maybe even Begin's 1.225 million) and spent cash on definitly not Guerin, Zubrus or Shanahan these are all washed up players and we have plenty of that, who we have to try to sign are TIMONEN, D.MARKOV , KARIYA , BRIERE , DRURY , and maybe a real tough guy not Murray or Downey and then it would look like this with Kovalev and Begin and without Perezhogin.

xtra players would be Chipchura Georges and Murray.I could put Plec on the 3rd line so moved him to the right and check out that 4th line whow! And after signing those players and giving Higgins,Markov,Plec and Komi a raise we would still have some cash not much but some.
