but during those playoff times not once did you finish 1st in the conference the habs did i don't think the leafs made it to the conference finals more then thehabs did i could be wrong but i don't think so yeah we're on a twenty year streak of having not won the cup but we made the playoofs every year but since the lockout and the leafs can't say that it doesn't really matter if we had it in as a 7/8 seed because as you seen a couple of years ago and last year anything can happen in the playoffs .

Yeah, but you're on a 20 year-streak yourself and have been relevant once since you last won.

Though the Leafs have not won, since Montreal won their last cup, hasn't the Leafs made it to the conference finals more times then Montreal (Even though we have not made the playoffs in 7 years)?

As well, most of your playoff appearances have been 7th/8th seeds...Not much to brag about.

actually your the dumb ass i'm not from montreal(i'm from saskatchewan) haha…. ,but i do cheer for their team lol i cancall the leafs losers ,yeah i know we finished finished last in the east only 2 points behind the leafs for that matter and we were the worst team ,but the reason i still said there losers is because of the cold hard facts that even you can't ignore or argue about, fact 1. they haven't made the playoffs for 7 straight years,fact 2. are the only team that hasn't made the playoffs since the lockout. fact 3 haven't won a cup in 45 years ! so that's my reference as being a loser and that's a fact mojo like it or not those are cold hard facts

am i too but he's just a very intrgiuing prospect with a ton of talent and high end potential almost to good to give up on ,he could turn out like malkin,datsyuk,fedorov etc,and if he does he'll be a stud player but mojo it's a high risk but worth it. i know if somehow the leafs trade down into the top 2-3 and he's there i'm quite sure you guys will take him to because of the huge potential that he has.

…..if one of those teams win we will pick nothing will change.. If a team behind us in the draft ranking wins, it will bump us down to 6th, and MTL down to 4th. lol

Let Grigorenko go to the Habs, he's got potential tone a flake like Afinogenov, Kovalev, Zherdev (i know these guys are wingers but you get the point).

On the other hand, Grigs could be a big stud C, it could go either way, but I'm scared of lazy Russians.

I like it a lot.

Only problem is that the trade deadline had inflated prices for veteran help. At the draft MacArthur's value will likely be a lot lower. I believe that he could have been dealt for a 1st at the deadline, given what players like Kostitsyn and Gaustad were traded for, and because buyers were so desperate to add talent and no one was selling. I just don't think the value will be there at the draft, hope I'm wrong.

Hey, average d-men signing in the $3.5 million range is actually starting to make Komisarek's contract not look as ridiculous. Maybe he could be traded sometime this upcoming season. Keep in mind he had a front loaded contract, he's mostly been paid for by now.
