Agreed. I think everybody feels the same way about their teams never getting calls, and I also think the inconsistency between the different refs is terrible. Even the two refs in the same game call everything different.

TO SAY THAT SOME TEAMS ARE GIVEN PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT IS NOT PLAIN WRONG ITS HUMAN NATURE IS WHAT IT IS. IVE BEEN WATCHING AROUND 90% HABS GAMES PER YEAR SINCE 1978 AND IVE SPOKE TO OTHERS WHO ARE HABS FANS AND THE CONCENSUS IS ALWAYS THE SAME THAT THE TEAM ALWAYS SEEMS TO HAVE TO WIN DESPITE THE REFEREEING SEEMINGLY AGAINST THEM. FOR EXAMPLE A PHANTOM TUG BY A HABS PLAYER GETS CALLED WHILE AN OBVIOUS INFRACTION AGAINST THEM IS IGNORED. NOW WHILE YOU MAY BE CORRECT ABOUT YOUR LEAFS AND I ADMIT THAT I DO NOT FOLLOW THE TEAM THE TRUTH IS THAT THE REFFING IN THIS LEAGUE NEEDS TO BE BETTER AND MORE UNBIAST.

Toronto gets the shaft from the refs as much as every team. The reffing has been a disgrace, and to say that certain teams get an advantage is just plain wrong, we're all in the same boat there. If you watched more Toronto games you'd see it against them also. As far as the Leafs, Montreal games, I think the smaller Habs have troubles against some of the bigger Leaf players.

By the way if Souray isn't a Canadien at the start of next season, then the Habs f*u*c*k*e*d up royally.

I agree with your comments about the league favoring some teams. The Leafs are the big money makers for the league and Crosby is the new big name draw for the Pens. Don`t expect any favors from the refs when playing those teams because it`s good for the league when these teams win.

i totally agree and the rematch on sunday proved to be no different, as for the leafs 5 on 3's, no doubt here also, it seems like they get 2 of them a game and the habs get about 2 or 3 a month. It always seems that the habs always get the short end of the stick in penalty calls, especially when they play in toronto. If u go onto the nhl website and click on officals, and count how many refs are from ontario, its pretty disturbing, its like 40% it kind of explains alot of things

It is not just against the Habs, altho they do seem to get the shaft regularily. Wdenesday I watched most of the Leaf/Ranger game and I thought that was the worst reffed game I had seen all year, alot of non calls against Toronto and some bad calls against the Rangers. The foolowing night was even worse, the Habs plain and simple got screwed by Koharski and St. Laurent.
The NHL has to do something about this pisspoor officiating because it is becoming a very bad joke already. Almost every night there are legitimate complaints against the officiating and it is only getting worse every year.
