i'd package halak,ryder and a1st r.d pick to the sharks for marleau!marleau is stuggling in sanjose as is ryder with us !so a change of scenery would be good for both teams!!!

Halak isnt making what his NHL contract states. Hes in the AHL, so hes only making somewhere around 50k this year. He could be making close to a million in russia. Also, hes been practically branded at best the back up in montreal with Price running with it. Im sure Halak just wants the opportunity to be a #1 somewhere.

Cheap tactic.

I lost all respect for Halak. He is simply trying to force Montreal's hand in dealing him...at a lesser value now. Bravo.

He saw Perezhogin and Emelin do it...so why not him? He plays 16 games and thinks he's a #1 goalie in the NHL? Yeah right. Halak is too small at 5'11'' and he needs to polish up his style to play regularly in the NHL.

Gainey needs to trade him and get something in return...maybe a 2nd rounder or some mid-level prospect.

First of all the media is not a source to confirm rumors.
Second why would he leave for only 150 000 more than working here and to lose the trust of NHL GM's?

I say punish him by, sending him to Toronto for Sundin.
