Can't see Sharks moving Marleau into a team in the west, better returns from eastern teams plus not having the bite-you-in-the-ass factor

That's not a horrible idea. Struggling captain for struggling captain.

But the Sharks need an offensive d-man(unless Ozolinsh is their answer). Morrison is expendable if they get Marleau, but he'd be a decent 2nd or 3rd line center for San Jose. So how about

To Vancouver:
Patrick Marleau

To San Jose
Morrison, Salo

Salo is often injured, but he'll bring offense from the back-end that San Jose needs. Vancouver has a deep blue-line(well..not as deep as we thought, they haven't played that well and have been ravaged by injury)

HOWEVER, due to the rash of injuries on the Canucks blue-line, I don't see this happening.

yah, if that were to fall through, then you just gotta hope the result will be like that of the Heatly-Hossa trade, where both players did really well after the trade.

thats a good idea. i don't see cooke going to the sharks becuase of thorton. but naslund for marleau could work. marleau isn't playing great and naslund needs a big linemate who can is a playmaker.
