posviero! you are a loser just like the leaf!1 your opinions on the habs meaning nothing! go back to lemming nation and cheer for thos habitual loser from toronto because as they say onec a loser, always a loser, and we'll see how good brian burke does in lemming nation which i think will be average at best because nobody's built this team for him like e's had done for him in his stops stops! don't worry about bob gainey he's 10x the g.m. that burke is or ever will be!when gainey took over 5 years ago he said that this team will be competitive and have a chance to win the cup we are right on that plan in his 5 years!we'll finish more than 15 points head of the leafs we are that now even on this losing streak!also if we lose some free agents will be o.k. that's why you draft and have scouts to build from within and have a farm system to have guys step in and be ready something lemming nation knows nothing about keep trading away your picks that'll really help you guys, that's why they haven't won in over 40 years! and willl continue to lose for many years to come!

the leafs are to the canadiens, what, keith and brent gretzky are to wayne!
Calling out players isn't always pointing out that they are horrible, but you are trying to give the guy some motivation. Wilson tried it on Blake, even scratched him from some games, and now he is tearing it up, and arguably one of the hottest players over the last month and a half. I saw an article from some habs fan a few days back (check the habs articles you'll find it) and the whole purpose was to mention a trade of Lang and both Kostitsyns for Malkin, and there are a few other ignorant habs fans that reply all over the boards expecting that they can trade for superstars without giving up guys like Komisarek, high draft picks, and top prospects like Patches, D'Agostini, Subban and such. You will have to trade guys like that to get top players in return.

Oh so he is a late bloomer so that makes him a bad player? Up until last season he didn't have a chance to realize his talents because he never got to play consistently because of injuries. But he has been improving since the lockout and this year is still improved on last season, while most of the habs like Kovalev, Higgins, Pleks are having much worse seasons than last year and worse seasons than Antropov as well. why couldn't he hit at least 60? He is on pace for 59 and all it takes is one multi-point game to bring him to on pacer for 60, and a few good multi-point games (which is possible) could bring him to at least 65 this season. Next season if he continues his play and doesn't go for a 16 game goalless drought then you can't deny that the number of extra points he gets could possibly land him in the 70 point range. I think around 70 is his max potential and not everyone reaches their full potential but he still has a few years until he completely hits his peak so it can happen. Nik's 6'6" frame can be intimidating to anyone if he plays the aggressive game and not many people are better on the tough goals right in front of the net and jamming it in. As for the comments about playing with Sundin, have you noticed his numbers are even better than last year's without any real offensive help now? He's proving he can do it on his own, something guys like Plekanec and Higgins can't do.

As for Filatov, have you ever heard the saying that defense wins games. Sure Filatov is going to be an offensive star but the leafs don't need to give up their best defensive defenseman and a future captain. Something tells me Filatov won't ever have the leadership to be a captain, but Schenn has already shown he is mature beyond his years and already has alot of leadership qualities at just 19. Simply put, Schenn is already in the NHL making a name for himself as a devastating shut down d-man, and Filatov is playing in Syracuse half of the time. Okay so yeah I agree you don't get talent unless you trade it away but to say we would have to add in a 1st rounder is absolutely ridiculous!

and you think antropov is? my god man! take a good look in the mirror! you say he's intimadating good one! he's intimidating alright imtidating to watch because of his size and how he just doesn 't have it! he's not a natural scorer is talent and skill is very limited hence the career high 56 points! that says alot right there!i think your grasping at straws alot to think he cold hit 60-70 points! he couldn't do it playing with sundin and he's gone now and playing with guys alot less talented than sundin! you bring up schenn and where he was drafted, ahead of filatov, that has no bearing on where they were drafted,it is eachothers future and impact that they wil have! schenn won't produce alot of offence in his career it's not his game, his game will be in the shut down role,as where filatov projects as a superstar potentially and if he develops like this teams don't trade those guys unless they get guys like schenn + that was the point i was tryng to make!
i dont like kovalev and i hve never liked kovlev. he is a wimp and a winer and a little crybaby. it was nice last season when he was scoring all those goals but what was i saying last year? trade him trade him trade him!!! his value had never been higher! and now, look at this pathetic team. they would be far better without him. imagine if they sent him away for a decent defenseman and a #1 pick. they probably would have gotten that last year. koivu is the heart of the team and youll see that he'll be the one leadin this team out of this current slump. it'll be koivu and higgins and lapierre and komisarek and price that will play themselves
sick to get out of this mess....

but kovalev is a cancer. he is like ribeiro but worse! i know he is a good player in dallas right now but he was a cancer fr the habs in the dressing room at the time and while that trade miht seem lopsided now, he had to ggo and so does kovalev. i havent always agreed with carbo as a coach, but if i were to pick between gettin rid of kovalev or getting rid of carbo, i would choose carbo everytime.

here's what i say we do....trade kovalev to a team who needs an extra push to make the playoffs. a team that will need a bit more of a veteran pressence. we've all heard it before: youth gets you to the playoffs, and the old vets are the ones that bring you the cup. so, i say trade kovi to say, florida panthers, or maybe the blackhawks....or even edmonton? if ales hemsky needs his winger, they may work out very well together. kovalev might be what they need to make the playoffs. it's already been suggested that pittsburgh might be a destination. vancouver might really benifit from his help. the blue jackets are really trying to make a push for the playoffs and he might help them. i know this will sound crazy, cause la's big problem has for years been the net, but quick is looking alright right now, and heck, he could be the veteran pressence they need to squeak into the playoffs.....

so, i say this: trade kovi for a 2nd and a 4th. most of those teams i just listed have good prospect depth, and could use the veteran pressence. could use a talented winger. and most of them wouldnt mid giving up those two draft picks for a player like kovalev. the habs draft really well, and that will land them some more players for the future, or trade bait for a future deal, and they'll get kovi out of the dressing room so the true leaders on the team can start to show the world what they're made of instead of loin to hotshop mvp to be saved, baptized, married and burried. kovalev will do well too because i think getting him out of montreal and off the habs is exactly the kind of grounding move that will light a fire under his ass. i say it works out well for any team involved.

now, i know some people will cry foul when say kovy for a 2nd and a 3rd. maybe he's worth a 1st straight up...or a 1st and a 3r. there are certainly some teams who may be willing to pay that for him. maybe even through in a prospect! and it would be AMAZING to trade kovy for a 1st and a solid 2nd line d-man who can pick minute off sluggish hammer and to prevent o'bynre from playing on the team. but one can only hope.

o'bynre will be a good dman one day. he needs more time to develop. i say keep him in hamilton, and the summer will do him good, shake the cobwebs, and next year he'll be playing like gorges was the beggining of this summer.

anyways, that's my take on this situation. it's a kovalev ego problem, get him out for whatver you can gain for him and youll be better off. a team taking on troublesome kovalev for the next few months will robably benifit greatly from his talents. he has proven himself to be a solid playoff player and is definately one of the most talented wingers in the game. he really deserved the allstar mvp just as much as anyone else who would have gotten it if it hadnt been held in montreal this year, really. i know the mvp game isnt a gauge of a players regular talent nescesarily, but just look at his puck control, and his skating ability. players on other teams are terrified of him. he can just....BOOM and skate circles around everyone an before anyone knew what happened, he's weaved his way through 3 players and the puck is in the net.
i dont like kovalev and i hve never liked kovlev. he is a wimp and a winer and a little crybaby. it was nice last season when he was scoring all those goals but what was i saying last year? trade him trade him trade him!!! his value had never been higher! and now, look at this pathetic team. they would be far better without him. imagine if they sent him away for a decent defenseman and a #1 pick. they probably would have gotten that last year. koivu is the heart of the team and youll see that he'll be the one leadin this team out of this current slump. it'll be koivu and higgins and lapierre and komisarek and price that will play themselves
sick to get out of this mess....

but kovalev is a cancer. he is like ribeiro but worse! i know he is a good player in dallas right now but he was a cancer fr the habs in the dressing room at the time and while that trade miht seem lopsided now, he had to ggo and so does kovalev. i havent always agreed with carbo as a coach, but if i were to pick between gettin rid of kovalev or getting rid of carbo, i would choose carbo everytime.

here's what i say we do....trade kovalev to a team who needs an extra push to make the playoffs. a team that will need a bit more of a veteran pressence. we've all heard it before: youth gets you to the playoffs, and the old vets are the ones that bring you the cup. so, i say trade kovi to say, florida panthers, or maybe the blackhawks....or even edmonton? if ales hemsky needs his winger, they may work out very well together. kovalev might be what they need to make the playoffs. it's already been suggested that pittsburgh might be a destination. vancouver might really benifit from his help. the blue jackets are really trying to make a push for the playoffs and he might help them. i know this will sound crazy, cause la's big problem has for years been the net, but quick is looking alright right now, and heck, he could be the veteran pressence they need to squeak into the playoffs.....

so, i say this: trade kovi for a 2nd and a 4th. most of those teams i just listed have good prospect depth, and could use the veteran pressence. could use a talented winger. and most of them wouldnt mid giving up those two draft picks for a player like kovalev. the habs draft really well, and that will land them some more players for the future, or trade bait for a future deal, and they'll get kovi out of the dressing room so the true leaders on the team can start to show the world what they're made of instead of loin to hotshop mvp to be saved, baptized, married and burried. kovalev will do well too because i think getting him out of montreal and off the habs is exactly the kind of grounding move that will light a fire under his ass. i say it works out well for any team involved.

now, i know some people will cry foul when say kovy for a 2nd and a 3rd. maybe he's worth a 1st straight up...or a 1st and a 3r. there are certainly some teams who may be willing to pay that for him. maybe even through in a prospect! and it would be AMAZING to trade kovy for a 1st and a solid 2nd line d-man who can pick minute off sluggish hammer and to prevent o'bynre from playing on the team. but one can only hope.

o'bynre will be a good dman one day. he needs more time to develop. i say keep him in hamilton, and the summer will do him good, shake the cobwebs, and next year he'll be playing like gorges was the beggining of this summer.

anyways, that's my take on this situation. it's a kovalev ego problem, get him out for whatver you can gain for him and youll be better off. a team taking on troublesome kovalev for the next few months will robably benifit greatly from his talents. he has proven himself to be a solid playoff player and is definately one of the most talented wingers in the game. he really deserved the allstar mvp just as much as anyone else who would have gotten it if it hadnt been held in montreal this year, really. i know the mvp game isnt a gauge of a players regular talent nescesarily, but just look at his puck control, and his skating ability. players on other teams are terrified of him. he can just....BOOM and skate circles around everyone an before anyone knew what happened, he's weaved his way through 3 players and the puck is in the net.
Hey, I hate to say i told you so, but as i predicted quite some time ago, the wheels have come off this bus.

Remember back to the beginning of last year, when even Habs fans were confident they were going to miss the playoffs. Next thing you know, yet another shot in the dark attempt at a goalie seems to work for a while in Price, and then these dumbass Habs fans are calling for a Cup. Get F'n serious.

Kovalev is a headcase who can't be counted on. Laraque was a stupid signing because no one fights in the playoffs, which is where the Habs got roughed up anyways. Lang and Tanguay were desperate attempts at improvement. Combine that with Carey Price's off season surgery to remove the horseshoe from his ass, and there you have it.

Listen, I'm a Leafs fan, and I know we suck right now. I don't have a problem admitting it. But if I have to listen to retarded fans from other teams like the Habs talk about how great they are when they are actually shitty, i don't think thats fair.

At the end of this season, the Habs will have probably 15 more points than the Leafs, they may or may not make the playoffs, and the huge list of Free Agents will leave them up shit creek for next year.

Oh, and by the way, i wonder how everyone thinks Bob Gainey is doing, this being the 5th year of his 5 year rebuilding plan for the Habs. I'm willing to say that if his plan was in fact to be the 12th best team in the NHL, then he's definitely succeeded.

Habs, what a joke.
