CLAUDE LAPOINTE?!?!?! WHAT THE HELL ARE THE FLYERS GONNA DO WITH LAPOINTE?? WE ALREADY HAVE LIKE 30 OF HIS TYPE OF PLAYER?!?! WE NEED A BIG TIME SCORER LIKE SATAN!! WHY THE …oh sorry anger bled over into another article.

  2. Leaf_Expert says:

Looks like somebody didn’t hesitate to replace Lapointe…

  3. titans says:

HOW CAN YOU REPLACE SUCH A GREAT PLAYER LIKE LAPOINTE!?!?! HE’S SUCH A GREAT PLAYER!! OH MAN WHATA LOAD OF CRAP!! YOU SUCK, CLARKEY SUCKS!! EVERYTHING SUCKS!!

  4. NHL_expert says:

    Two words: WHO CARES………………………..

  5. WeStSiDe says:

Essentially, Lapointe for Robitaille.. Kinda stupid if you ask me…

  6. jacosta says:

Maybe people would care if it were martin la pointe for luc robitaille and even then it would be a who cares type of deal

  7. CrackerZack says:

The Flyers have no one like Lapointe, he’s good at faceoffs and he’s won the Bob Nystrom award three times. His leadership and “team first” attitude will certainly help.

  8. TaajAr says:

Looking at the palyers salaries could implicate something.

  9. caskade says:

its a salary dump with a mad mike deadline deal looming.

laviolette coached robitaille for the providence bruins, and hes cheaper than lapointe.

the bigger story here is the isles recalled dipietro sunday and “plans to take three goaltenders on the upcoming road trip”

i think this was a salary dump prelude to a bigger deal involving one of the goalies… probably osgood or snow, since you dont have to recall a prospect to trade them… dipietro is being called up to replace someone, and the lapointe salary dump is to make room on the budget for someone else….

You hit it on the head. Robitaille for LaPointe. I had no prblems with Lapointe. He was a team player for many years when the team sucked. I wish him the best. The fact that the Isles brought DiPietro along on the 6 game trip shows one of two things. There is enough interest in Osgood that might make him worth trading anf the Isles will need their backup in place in Vancouver, or their is not a lot of confidence in Osgood after he let in 3 goals on 15 shots in the NJ loss and they will go back to Snow and DiPietro.

  14. titans says:

Great! Too bad we can’t score more thab two goals a game! Will he help us there?

  15. titans says:

Been watchin too much Jar Jar Binks from Star Wars have we?

    retard!

  16. Leaf_Expert says:

    ha,

I jar jat binked on your mom….

  17. CrackerZack says:

Hopefully Leclair will help, 4 of his 11 goals this season came on the powerplay, which should further help revitalize it. Also, his back should be in the best shape its been in years, once he clears his presence will help.

  18. DaMick says:

A 27 year old clone of Lapointe……thats what Robitaille is

    7 years younger….

    somewhat cheaper….

it does look like a prelude to a Milbury move….

maybe they might go after Satan & Zhitnik after all [ i saw that the Buffalo GM is only trading both in the same deal….to dump off Zhitniks salary]

and yes Laviolette coached him….it might work pretty decently out for the isles….

i cant wait to see who the Isles get

I actually agree 100% with you…Osgood’s going out I think personally.

  20. titans says:

After such a long absence I’m hesitant to count on LeClair for anything.

  21. titans says:

Can you even speak english you malignant dwarf?

  22. DARTHJIM says:

Good move so far. Islanders get a younger, cheaper forward who has better hands in exchange for Lapointe. Robitaille should fit right in, he works hard and can be a pest. The big news is that DiPietro being called up. Osgood or Snow (my bet is Osgood) will be gone by Tuesday. DiPietro isn’t going anywhere. This kid is gonna be sick! The real question now is this to open up salary room to add someone else (Satan?) or just a salary dump?

  23. DARTHJIM says:

The N.Y. Post is reporting the Islanders are talking with Buffalo for Satan and Zhitnik (Zhitnik has to be part of any Satan deal) and to Washington for Bondra. Bondra would be perfect. This guy can score goals! Exactly what the Isles need right now. The “old lady” will be gettin’ some lovin’ if the Isles score either one of these guys!

    LET’S GO ISLANDERS!

  24. Leaf_Expert says:

ok wow… jar jar bink, really good, Tights.

Don’t even dare beef wit what I say, because on the real… You just a pussy with gay comebacks and actin brave behind a computer…

Tights, well never say anything reverential to each other…But I guess you like me making you,

    “Shut Da Fuck Up!”

  25. amazing_jesse says:

    For Satan and Zhitnik?

  26. JohnFlan22 says:

Raffi Torres to start, probably a first round pick and other stuff alla Mapeltoft or Hunter. I dont think isbister will be moved because DAMN! THE CATS OUTTA-DU-BAG!!! HE STINKS!!!! AND NOBODY WANTS EM. AND BEING AN ISLANDER FAN SUCKS DONKEYBALLS BECAUSE THEY AINT GONNA MAKE ANY FRICK’N GOOD MOVES ANYWAY!!!! CRAP! CRAP! CRAP! SCREW THE RANGERS, THE ISLES ARE GIFT WRAPPING A PLAYOFF BIRTH FOR THEM . IF THE ISLES KEEP PLAYING THE WAY THEY ARE RIGHT NOW THE RANGERS CAN PROBABLY PLAY .500 HOCKEY AND BEAT THE BITCH ISLES OUT! OSGOOD SUCKS, GIONTA TWICE FROM FRICK’N 40FEET OUT????! ARRRRRGH!!!!!! SCREW YOU BRODEUR…..

  27. caskade says:

thats my only fear here…. is what they are gonna have to give up. personally, i LOVE torres and it bums me they are most likely gonna have to give him up…. i think hes a future power playmaker…. i hope to hell we have some putz interested in osgood so we can dump his soft goal giving butt, but what else? active players… its the active players we cant afford to lose, really… since nobody is gonna take isbusted. maybe some poor sap will take kvasha off our hands too….. but again im dreaming.

im afraid that this might hurt, in the end

  28. caskade says:

also… if they take all of em? torres, hunter, mapletoft…. could REALLY kill us down the road. even two of the three…. it could really hurt the future. we have a sick prospect pool in those three. thank god wiendhandl is currently active… he could have been included also.

  29. guinsfan4life says:

Another penguin who didn’t live up to expectations for the beginning of the season.

Getting a fifth rounder for him ain’t bad though.
