I know offer sheets just don't happen anymore but if I were a team like Pittsburgh, Philadelphia or even Edmonton I would love to get Karlsson for a couple picks. Because of this I believe Karlsson will end up with a contract over $5M a year, assuming there is no offer sheet, if there is one he can end up with a contract over $6M a year (last year $6.2M was the high end of the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd compensation bracket).
