Kings looking to make some moves?

The LA Daily News is reporting speculation regarding the LA Kings. It is believed that there is a 50-50 chance that the Kings may trade their 2nd overall pick. If the Kings do opt to draft a player the speculation is that they will use the pick to draft Doughty, a talented D-man from the OHL.

Another rumor is that the Kings may be looking to deal talented forward Mike Cammalleri who the article reports is unlikely to be signed to a contract extension despite the fact that he has only a single season left on his contract. According to the article there is speculation that Cammalleri could be packaged with the Kings 28th pick for a NHL defenseman.

    If I'm the Kings I'd probably look to move the 2nd pick – they have loads of talented youngsters on their roster and could do with a more experienced star to go with them.

    I'm not even going to try and suggest who but it looks like a good young team needing a couple of older heads.  Of course they still need a goalie too so maybe they could trade for that.

    If I were the Kings, I'd keep the No. 2 pick.  You're better off not rushing the painful rebuilding.  You gotta let it all happen naturally like puberty.
