Marchment Signs With Toronto

Bryan Marchment has just signed a 1-year $2 Mil deal with the Leafs.

He has played in 814 career games and has accumulated in those games 38 goals and 137 assists for a total of 175 points and 2126 PIM.

He has previously played for Chicago, San Jose, Winnipeg, Hartford, Edmonton, Tampa Bay, and Colorado. The Leafs will become the eighth team he has played for in his career.

My take: The Leafs sorely needed a defenseman after Wesley left and with concern over the whole issue revolving around Svehla; they should just buy out his contract and rid themselves of this burden. He will add a welcomed physical presence but will not contribute all that much offence.

Another cheap shot artist for the Leafs. In fact, he’s the cheapest of the lot.

Any bets on them trading some young prospects for Barnaby next?It wouldn’t surprise me.

Just image the bill for the team of psychologists they’ll need to keep these psychos from going postal.Maybe they can get Corson back too: i bet he can’t wait to get back and KICKING!

This is supposed to be “Canada’s Team”? classless cheap goons?Give me a break.

The only thing I will say positive about signing “Mush” is that he puts the fear of god in players and distracts them from their real job. That will be worth something to the Leafs. As far as fighting goes, Marchment has nothing on Domi, but brian has the slew foot thing down better. Opposing teams need to keep their heads up and knees out of the way……Look out! Here comes Slew Foot Mush!
