- Shannahan has the Habs on his “short list” of possible destination

-Gainey is set to make an offer to Elias (He is asking close to the max = 8.8 mil), I assume at least 20 GM’s will be making a pitch at him….

I am curious to see how much Elias will get, someone will be stupid enough to throw over 8 mil at him. I don’t see Gainey offering that much, probably around 6-6.5 mil but I doubt it will be enough to bring him to MTL.

Shanny……..Well I see him either stay with the Wings or play a couple years with the Leafs, Shanny may have MTL on his short list but it doesn’t mean Gainey is interested, eventhough I really like Shanny.

I don’t see that trade, in it’s present state, happening at all.
