True, but no charges or arrests have been made. While I don't think this is good, at this point I don't think it's nearly as bad as what it is being played as.

Should something come out implecating players in actual activities that this guy was doing that would obviously be a diffferent story.

Rushed or not, you didnt answer my main question. I agree with you, what Price s doing is worng, from a Canadiens perspective, and the powers that be, should be the ones that react. But how is he disrespecting the league? or the game with his partying?
Onto the Matt Leinhart situation. Arizona, althought not being a big market, was considered favorite to win the NFC West this year, due to it being a terrible divison. Before they year, head coach Ken Wisenhunt pretty much guaranteed Leinhert the starting position. True it was the offseason, but the photos of Price that everyone is getting their panties in a bundle over, are the ones from Mexico, which was during the offseason.

The difference is Arizona a huge market in the NFL? Was their high expectations for Arizona before this year? Was Matt Leinart even an important part of the team besides being QB of the future> And was Matt leinart aprtying during the season? Because I am pretty sure that him and another partier in Jeff Reed do all their offseason partying more.

Right now, Carey Price is to blame for what is going woring in Montreal. He has 1 good game sinc3 injury(Washington) and should have alot of blame in Montreal for his horrendous bad play. Look, when Montreal wanted to make Carey their starter at a young age, he should of been ready for all teh criticism he will get if he played poorly. Giving him his age is an excuse for a starting goaltender when he's partying, doing whatever, but if Montreal wanted to make Carey Price a starter at 21(not sure), then he should accept teh responsibilties and consequencs with that if he plays poorly, and is in a high expected market Montreal. On the contrary to Justin pogge or Kari Ramo, who will not get as much blame because the teams infront of them suck.

Ok, I can how your saying the twins disrespected the game. But D'Agnostoni, and Price? Why cause it showed Price smoking a cigarette...hold the phone, call Bettman and suspend them. Come on, they are all young and having fun. Gainey and Carbo should step in and tell them to stop but disrespecting the game might be going a bit far?
Did Matt Leinhart disrespect the game of football when it showed him in a hot tub with 8 gorgeous ladies? No.
Take a look at football and basketball, there is on average atleast three players invloved in gun related incidents per year, where some, unfortunetly, die.
Then you have baseball and the steroid era, need I say more?
Now you are going to try and tell me that what is going on in Montreal is comparable?

Okay, so what i meant was a couple of things. They are tarnishing the Canadiens and the league because of this incident. I consider the NHL the most fragile of every other sports league in North America(NFL, MLB, NBA) and any more bad publicity could damage the repuatation of this league. Especially since the lockout basically killed it. Next, these young players have damaged Montreal. Montreal used to be a good team, but now the overhype of mediocre young players have tarnished the team. It seems like they have the mentality(D'Agostini, Price, Kostitsyn, etc) they can do whatever they want, and it has really affected Kovalev to the extent he has lost control of this team as well. And sadly, he is the one to blame. Why would he want to paly for a disrespecful team if they disrespect the game? ALL these players talk shit, especially Sergei, and now they are failing. If Grabovski wanted a fight, he was ready, and now I know why he wanted to get out of the situation in Montreal, and good for him. He seemed to be the bad guy, but he did not want to get involve with the drama he knew was brewing in montreal.

I guess Toronto is the only place where the media could ever blow something out of proportion though…. There are no other instances where the media in ANY other city in the NHL could blow ANYTHING out of proportion or jump the gun with only a bit of information.
