Morrow traded to the Penguins
The Penguins and Dallas Stars have a trade in place that would see veteran forward Brenden Morrow headed to Pittsburgh in exchange for a package that would include defenceman Joe Morrow, according to sources.
The deal, however, hinges on Brenden Morrow waiving his no trade clause.

Solid return for B.Morrow, former 1st round pick defensive prospect for a veteran UFA on the decline.
If the Pens can re-sign Morrow (or win the cup… obviously) this is a very good move for a team loaded with defensive prospects.
I like it.
I really like this move for Pittsburgh. It’s a big price but I see this as the Guerin move on a bigger scale. He brings leadership and experience. I would think this takes them out as far as Iginla is concerned. But there are some reports that the Pens see him fitting into the top 9. I doubt they gave that much for him just to play on the 3rd line.
