Siegal wrote a nice article on TSN about Eakins helping Orr reinvent himself as a player. We could use a high grit, heart and soul guy like Orr, IMO. We don’t have enough guys willing to go to war(not just talking fights), this could be if what Eakins has said about him a good turn around.

I think there’s a decent chance Carlyle might go with a tougher roster out of camp. Which could mean no Matthew Lombardi, maybe Tyler Bozak out. Guys who will get good look will be Colton Orr, Carter Ashton, maybe Leo Komorov.

It would be cool to see a team like this –

Lupul – Connolly – Kessel
J.V.R. – Grabo – MacArthur
Frattin – McClement – Kulemin
Brown – Steckel – Komorov/Orr

with Lombardi and Bozak on the trade block.

He talked a game he could not play. New owners were not the ones who brought him in so nothing for them to lose by pushing him out. Timing is weird but whatever. It had to be done. Could have find a better replacement however.
