He only has one year left, and if he’s splits time with Reimer instead of playing 75 games every year then he could probably stay at his current level for a while. I say we just go with Reimer for this season, and target one of the UFA goalies this summer. Whether it be Smith, Backstrom, Nabokov or Howard.

Don’t want him anymore, if we’re going to give up what Gillis is asking we can use that package to get a goaltender that doesn’t come with baggage.

Gillis originally asked for a pick, Gardiner, Bozak and Franson for Luongo. Gillis must not have complete faith in Schnieder if that is his asking price for Lou.

He is still an elite talent, better then what we have. That is not a knock on Reimer either, I like him and am comfortable with him in net. But you always take the upgrade at the right price.
