Do you guys think i am out of line by saying that russian hockey players are for the most part lazzy players, not all of them but most of them!

The person I would love to see in Montreal is Ryan Getzlaf from Ana. I doubt anything we offered would pry him away from the ducks but he seems to have the whole package, size, scoring ability, and is only 21 and making league minimum.

not at all true, gainey re-signed ribiero and it wasn't until he made a panic move to get another defenseman that he moved Ribs for a dman.

If he didn't like Ribs he would have traded him in the offseason for another scoring center.

I don't mind that Ribs was traded but to give up scoring for an expensive spare part is just plain dumb.

Bottom lone Gainey has even less of a second line center than he had last season and Dallas got a cheap call on a (longshot) potential all-star.

Getting Conroy would make me cry tears of happiness but it would cost Gainey big time. Lombardi knows talent when he sees it and will suck a top prospect or two out of Montreal if conroy leaves LA.

As for Fedorov, well we don't need another noheart Russian stinking up the second line.

Also, Brylin is supposedly on the market (I don't mind him for a Russian).

EXACTLY! if i were gainey, even knowing how niinima turned out, i would still make that trade 100 times out of 100!and plz, leading scorer 2 yrs ago…..compared to who?dagenais?zednik?bulis?c'mon……..not a big competition out there!yah saku was there and on a pts/game, saku was ahead of him!

There was a reason people chased Ribeiro out, and why Gainey decided to trade him after coaching him for the majority of the season.
We all know he has skill, but he plays with no heart, has no speed, and was definitly a negative in the locker-room. Did we do right by trading him for Niinnima? I don't know, but in reality the Habs are a better team without Ribeiro. They play harder, they are more consistent, and the chemistry within the team is obviously better.

Ribeiro's got skill, but his loss is still an addition by subtraction. I wish him the best, but the habs are a better team without him.

we had a scoring center named Ribiero who led the team in points 2 seasons ago. then the fans chased him out of town. now they are trying to chase the top goal scorer out of town.

this isn't how you build a hockey team.
