I think it would depend on if Anaheim is in rebuild mold. If they are looking to compete for a playoff spot, then xepect them to ask for Kessel or JVR as the main piece with less prospects. Moving Grabo and Colborne in the same deal for Getzlaf would be a mistake on our part IMO. Now we have to rely heavily on Bozak or Connolly to have a great season as the second line centre instead of a fairly sure thing in Grabo.

To toronto:
Rick Nash
Conditional 7th round pick (if he plays less than 60 games)
Conditional 6th round pick (if he gets less than 65 points)
To Columbus:
the right to RFA Cody Franson
Matt Frattin
Carl Gunnarson
Kenny Ryan
Next years 1st round pick
Conditional 3rd in 2 year (if less than two of those players are not playing in the NHL.
I think this would be a good move for both sides columbus gets solid temporary defenceman intell young defence like Ryan Murray get in the NHL. They get potental lodded wingers Kenny and Matt and always good to have picks. Toronto gets a big winger who is bouned to deliver in a new seting and a little insurance that he plays a solid amount of games. Thx for your time comment your opinions!!!

That is a very good offer for both sides.

I also think he will be a good mentor for Joe Colborne. Whom I think the Leafs are very high on.

Might expect a hockey trade down the line, Where the Leafs deal Grabo for another need.

For example, the Derek Roy trade.

That has to be pretty enticing from the perspective of both sides, and especially if the Ducks don’t see Perry and Getzlaf necessarily getting long term deals done this year.

Kulemin, Kadri, Blacker, 1st

A solid defensive winger with scoring ability, two very solid prospects, both potentially NHL ready for this season, one at forward one at D, and a 1st.

I like Kulemin, but there might be a reason why him and Franson have not signed an extension yet.Possibly pieces that are dangled to get Getzlaf.

Kadri would most likely be included, a draft pick, and Grabovski to give them a center.

Big price to pay…But it would be worth it. And, Toronto depth would withstand the impact.

Oh ya it will definitely take a huge package to convince them to give him up. Like ZillyHoo said, I think they want some more established players, the concept of the number of valuable pieces is spot on. I look at the Richards and Carter trades as good comparables. Getlaf I think will get a bit more but along the same lines.
Richards- 2nd, top prospect, and a proven top 9 forward.
Carter- 1st, young 20/50 guy, 3rd

Something like

Tor
Grabovski, Kulemin, Colborne, Franson, 1st 2014(if he resigns)
Ana
Getzlaf

They get two top 6 forwards, a guy who could replace Getzlaf in the future in Colborne as well as a young defenceman in Franson with potential. If Toronto signs Getzlaf they get an extra piece.
They could always flip Grabovski for a 1st.

I don’t think Anaheim deals out those types of guys for unproven prospects though. Another top six from each team would need to go back.

Yeah absolutely but i still feel the same…. You would need to get back a minimum 3 extremely significant pieces back…. And not just a nazem Kadri ….. I’m talking like at least one cornerstone piece probably another along with three to four “nazem kadris” to instill any kinda confidence among the fanbase…..

I’m not saying that’s the price for them…. But anything less and you have a failing team……. It could turn bad for the organization…

If you trade that whole first line I’d like to see a talent like yakupov…. A grigorenko…… A Jordan eberle….. A nazem Kadri …. A Ryan strome….. Something along that kind of quality …. Minimum…… Anything less to me and its suicide…

In = Ryan Strome, Nazem Kadri, Joe Colboune, Mika Zabinejad, Guillaume Latendresse, Pat Weircoch (I think its pat), Griffin Reinhart, NYI 2013 1st, 3rd, 2014 3rd, TO 2013 1st

I think something like that could be possible…. Not a bad haul for three NHL superstars…. Probably only half the players acquired become impact players… If that…. But the two 1sts make anaheim end up with most likely a top 5 pick, a top ten, and another in the top 20…. Could turn into nice picks or moves as trades…….
