I'm not so sure that I buy Hull as a legitimate shoot-out threat. Sure, he's still got his incredible shot, but at his advanced age his scoring is predicated on being setup and catching the goalie by surprise with his quick release. In a shoot-out format, a goalie waiting for Hull to lumber down the ice towards him is going to be able to concentrate on when and where he'll release his shot. I think shifty Europeans (I only say that because of the great CBC commercial that used to show in the Detroit area where Bob Probert was inexplicably hiding in the backseat of a random car and the cheesy salesman goes, "hey, probie!" I love that ad) with speed and puck-handling skills are going to thrive more in the shoot-outs than guys like Hull that rely on their shot.

I will take your word on LeClerc then, I had personally never really heard of the guy before he was moved to Phoenix and honestly didn't pay him much heed as there was already so much to watch in the preseason for Phoenix. It is easy for him to get lost in the sea of popular names that got sent to Phoenix. Season starts tommorow in Vancouver, go Yotes!

I'm telling you... Leclerc does not need "solace from a waiver fate" as he is a lock on the team.

True about Kolanos and Taffe.

PS. McAllister and Ferrence cleared waivers and are now in San Antonio.

Believe it or not they have tried both Leclerc and Rupp on a line with Doan... and for a while the 3 were together (Leclerc said it is the first time in his career he was the smallest on a line). Don't expect Rupp to stay with him but Leclerc has a decent shot at it - likely with Nedved centering them.

If Taffe or Kolanos are sent to San Antonio - they will FIRST have to clear waivers (in order to go there). I believe Sjostrum is fine and would not face waivers - but he has played better then either of the other two in preseason.

Rumor is news to me, I will be very sad to see Kolanos go. I am hoping that if he does not make the starting roster he is assigned to San Antonio. Same goes for Taffe and Sjostrom, because I doubt eather of the 3 would clear waivers.

Sure, I can see why you wouldn't have him in forgotten moves, but you make no reference to him whatsoever. Sure, he is no superstar, but when healthy he is no less than an NHL regular. I have seen him on depth charts as high as second line left winger. He is at least a third liner.

Mike Rupp on the second line? Mike Rupp is actually 4th line trash....there's a reason NJ got rid of him.

Not saying I don't appreciate the effort. But when I read these things and see something (or don't see it) I have to take issue.

I have also read rumours of Kolanos being on the block.
