Pilar is a decent defender. Plain and simple or he wouldn’t have been picked up by an NHL franchise, regardless where he plays.

Berg was slow but he played his role – much like Gill does now. Murphy was a whipping boy too. Guess that means the masses were right about him.

The main issue with most of your posts is your “need to be the hockey authority” complex. Open your mind, lose the arrogance, and you won’t have as many battles on this site. Who knows, people may actually listen to what you say.

I meant SINCE the Leafs, he has done nothing.  Yes, he *WAS* a good coach, but as you, a Leaf fan, should have seen, for the past 3 years he has done a horrible job coaching the team in the new NHL.  Canada's bid for medals was another good example.3. ]]> By: eron http://hockeytraderumors.com/quinn-to-coach-in-atlanta/comment-page-1/#comment-248447 eron Tue, 23 Oct 2007 04:46:42 +0000 http://localhost/wordpress24/?p=16277#comment-248447 Are you really blaming Paul Maurice for McCabe, Kubina, Gill and Belak?  Wow.Quinn got a bad rap because he refused to evolve as a coach.  He stuck to the same strategy every game, despite the fact every team learned how to work around it.  Quinn hasn't done very well outside of the Leafs, so I don't see how it is a good idea to bring him in as Coach of the Thrashers.  If the Thrashers did this, they would be making the same mistake Calgary did: Bringing in a fossil who just can't properly coach the new NHL anymore.
