Rangers land star

New York, NY (Sports Network) – The New York Rangers have agreed to terms with forward Mats Zuccarello Aasen , a native of Norway who played in both the 2010 Winter Olympics and World Hockey Championship. Zuccarello Aasen has also played for MODO of the Swedish Elite League the past two seasons and in 2009-10 led the league in scoring with 64 points to garner MVP honors. He scored 23 goals and added 41 assists in 55 games.

The 22-year-old Oslo native has recorded 35 goals and 69 assists for 104 points in 90 career Swedish Elite League games. He also compiled 58 goals and 65 assists for 123 points in his final two years with Frisk Asker in Norway.

    He was the quick moving little guy from Norway. Another grabovsky type of player IMO
