Rangers to move Poti?

Tom Poti has been a healthy scratch the last couple of games, and there are rumblings of a possible trade….The bigger question I think is who would want him? He is overrated and softens a team’s blueline, but I could see him landing in Boston. I would also like to see the Rangers get a player in return for him, maybe P.J. Axelsson or Tom Fitzgerald as a good role player, or at least a pick….

What do you guys think?

Come on, he has been doing this for years, constantly turning the puck over, deflecting into his own net and leaving his assignment wide open. The guy has 15PTS. AND IS A MINUS 1 are u kidding me?????? He is a defencive liability, face it.

HAHA AKI BERG is only a minus 2 one worse the McCabe, explain that one??????

Agreed. I do find it funny how his song changed from describing his play in a string of games as AWESOME to now have low confidence.

Poti hasn’t really helped his case by ripping Renney in the media. Not only has that worsened relations with his own team, it makes other a teams a helluva lot less likely to go after a malcontent like him.

No idiot, what he’s saying is that it’s BAD when your dead weight is right there with your top defender in plus minus. It’s not saying a lot about your defense, especially McCabe in particular.

DUH I KNOW, THE GUY WHO SINGS THE LOSER SONG LOL.

    That guy is a tool.

That useless storage barn is a divsion leader right now. I guess it’s not saying a whole lot about your team.

I couldn’t agree more, he screwed us big time by being a *****ass.

Hay Bigbooty… Hope all is well with you. I disagree… I think a team with a core group of 4 or 5 solid D-men would love getting poti for that extra offensive spark from the blueline to help out in overtime or when trailing by a goal or two.

Also, If Clarke could pull off the trades he has in the past for goalies who have absolutely no NHL tallent to speek of IE: Checkmonick, Bouchier, ECT… Why cant the Rangers get something for Poti? The thing is… The Rangers dont need anything for Poti. The Rangers are just fine pairing him with a stay at home d-man like they have been doing. If the Rangers keep winning and playing good team d? Lots of teams would trade a good player for Poti because he will no longer be considered a defensive liability. What do you think?

How many Rangers games do you watch a year. Even with the worst player in the league (your opinion) the Rangers are first in the division. Go win a cup before getting all full of philosophy.”Can’t turn garbage into a juicy steak.” Who the heck talks like this? Thats the best piece of philosophy you could come up with? Well, You represent the great north well…

Your all freekin out! Poti aint so bad… As of 10/31/05, The Rangers are 6-3-3 and playing great team defence with Poti being a +2 in 20:30 min of ice time a game. Its only been 12 games. Poti will settle down and play more consistant as he learns his teammates… Its only been 12 games played so far this year. It is clear by his ice time and +/- that he might not be playing well??? but he Sherly aint hurting the club. What ever? With Poti or without? I see the Rangers sweeping the home and home with the habs tonight.

Joke, man. Obviously I was referring to the NYR of last year…but you cant argue that poti sucks as well as the R’s coaching and GM.
