wtf lombardi – he has been making second rate moves since he got here (demitra deal was ok). kings are loaded with keepers – none all that great. i can only imagine he is making another move. but he just took on 2.5 mil – ugh!!!

Morrison is making 3.5 million, I wonder if the Canucks will be able to unload a salary like that. They are pretty much maxed out already, they are going to have to make some moves to get under the Cap – Naslund at 6 million would be the obviuos other choice. Pittsburg should take a a flyer on him and get him on the big line for a year.

This deal makes no sense whatsoever for L.A.

Cloutier is no significant improvement over Garon and really only has experience over LaBarberra. At $2.5 million, Cloutier's far too expensive to be a back-up and Garon isn't even signed yet.

The only explanation I can come up with is Lombardi preparing to trade Garon. (Maybe to Florida?)

Good deal for Vancouver though. I wasn't sure they'd even get a decent draft pick for Cloutier.

I’m a little sad for Garon who probably thought that he had won the #1 keeper position last season, all is now to start again for him…but i don’t know if his future is in L.A….

They got the 2nd rounder in '07, and a conditional pick in '09.. anyone know what the conditional pick is?
