I just want them to get rid of the over time loss point. They put that rule in cause too many teams were playing for ties. Now there are no ties so that rule should be eliminated. It doesn’t make sense that teams get a point just because they lost later than other teams.

did you watch the olympics last yrar???? The amount of times the puck went over the net was huge. I would love to see the stats on how many less pucks went over the boards last year. I would guess cluss to a tenth.

After watching a lot of World Cup soccer (football outside of Canada and the US) I’m all in favour of clamping down on the diving. If hockey ever becomes as theatrical as that, I would be embarassed to be associated with the sport in any capacity. The trick is, being able to distinguish between an actual infraction and an embellished dive. Sometimes it’s a bit of both.

I'll believe they're trying to crackdown on diving when I see it, but I'm doubtful after watching an interview with Bettman during the playoffs where he basically said, "If we call our players on diving, then we make them look bad publicly. We don't want bad PR for our players and our product." and "Sometimes players have to embelish things in order to get the refs to acknowledge the penalties being commited."

Reason # 6547 why Bettman is an idiot who shouldn't be in charge of the NHL: He defends diving.

i know it’s so stupid. I guess they should call it if it looks like they try to shoot it out but 95% of the time it’s an accident. I also don’t like how goaleis can’t play the puck in the corners. My belief is if they are confident about playing it let them, because if they screw up it will most likely end up as a goal.

yea, the fines wont help that much, but the fear of suspension will be useful. coaches will preach to their players not to dive and use illegal sticks, especially to top players. coaches wont want their players off the ice for diving. an example of who would be effected is forsburg. while the fine is minimal, the 3 strikes and your suspended is a good deterant

I can’t believe that the delay of game rule is still enforced. I still think its stupid to give an automatic penalty for shooting the puck over the glass while in the defensive zone. The penalty should be no line change, like it is in icing.
