agreed, if Souray were to come, then Mara would have to be traded, because Mara and Souray on the same team wouldn't be to good

The Rangers are still ok on the cap. But Souray just doesn't make any sense. Especially with Shanahan still needing to be signed.

Exactly. Strudwick is probably going to be in Hartford, but where would Souray even fit? Nowhere. The young defensemen simply can't be pushed back in favor of free agents that really won't make the team much better.

What the hell are the Rangers' salary cap numbers?? How the hell would they be able to sign Souray?? They'd have to trade away half their team in order to get under the cap. Besides these long term, high money contracts might hurt them when Lundqvist is looking for a new contract (no idea when that is though).
