think about this though. we get a rental and give up a draft pick and a good prospect to barely squeek into the playoffs that we dont deserve and get to the second maybe 3rd round and then be pissed when the dude leaves. But what if we dont make the playoffs. And we miss the playoffs by like 10 points and the trade did nothing, and in the offseason the guy leaves us leaving us with nothing in the deal. OK at the trade deadline you trade to win the cup not to make the playoffs and hope for the best. You either go in with the team you got or decide we have the team to win like Nashville and make a bold trade. But guess what. were not Nashville. I think we should sit back and hope the team turns it around.

Either way if Gainey doesn't make a trade within the next week then were not making a deal to be buyers. OK If the team starts winning then he leaves it the way it is. The team keeps loosing but gainey keeps it the way it is for a week and a half. By the end of that time we'd be 8-12 points out possibly causeing bob gainey to sell away abby possibly and souray.
P.S. Koivu hasn't been that bad penalty wise. Plus a few of them penalty's last night againist NJ were unneccessary in my opinion.
Koivu has been taking way too many penalties, i'm sure its out of frustratiln more than anything but on a nightly basis its been the habs on the short end of the stick when it comes to getting powerplays which aboslutly makes no sense cause they are definatly in the top 10 in team speed which you would think should draw penalties but somehow they remain second last in the league in powerplay oppurtunites meanwhile teams like pittsburg and carolina have like 110 more oppurtunites on the pp, it makes no sense too me it just seems that the league is out to get them, i know carbo has made it clear that he hasn't like the way the officails have treated his team all year. maybe now he's paying for it
