I agree with you PaulK123. Sundin is not gonna go anywhere. He is going to stay with Toronto. Sundin is a good player and a good leader and the team respects him. And yes, he is a fan favorite. He is my favorite to next to McCabe.

Pittsburgh isn't gonna trade Malkinn, thats like trading Ovechkin! Carolina is definetly not gonna trade Eric Staal, this gut is 22 and look at his numbers! Sundin is past his prime. The Lightning

are looking for prospects and won't do that deal.

Detroit won't trade a budding superstar in Pavel Datsyuk for Sundin, god do some effing research!

I just want to say for the record that Norm Rumack is a terrible sports personality. I have actually spoken to him several times, and he really needs a 'Hammerhead Alert'. My problem with him is that I can forgive sportcasters for making an occasional mistake i.e. mixing up stats, calling players by the wrong first name, etc... However, Norm Rumack is constantly doing things like that, and unfortunately, it happened so many times that I can never trust what comes out of him anymore. Don't get me wrong, I think he could be great as he is a real nice guy and can be very entertaining, but as far as News Anchors and Sportscasters, etc go, you really need to be able to count on them for accurate information. It is their job afterall.

Anyways, as far as Mats Sundin being traded. Whether there is any substance to that rumour or not, there are only a handful of players in the NHL that I would want in return for him. Mats Sundin is one of the best, and in my opinion, he is still very underrated.

But if they do consider moving Mats, they need to get Lindros signed to a multi-year extension. I would love to see Eric as the #1 centre here in Toronto, and there is no doubt he is capable, as we have seen already, but it is possible those days are over for Eric.

Maybe San Jose would let go of Marleau as part of a deal for Sundin, considering they just acquired Joe Thornton.
