well, in 3 years, Sundin will have more points, and lets face it, who has Recchi played with, and who has Sundin played with? Wellwood was possibly the first good winger Sundin has had playing with the Leafs

Koivu is talented? Did he really score 20 goals in 1998? Good for him. Our Captain scores 30 a year, every year, for over 10 years, maybe us Toronto fans set the bar a little higher when is our evaluation of talent. Koivu's too small (Martin St.Louis is small, Theo Fleury was small, that didn't hold them back, and you presume to lecture me on lame excuses, that's cute), bad luck (another awesome excuse) and has injuiry struggles (oh you can blame production woes on injuiry problems but the leafs can't). Koivu isn't a franchise player, you're kidding yourself if you think he is.
Only two players on the Habs with no heart? Please, Montreal is an entire team of floaters and marginal young talent. You admit your second line was shit, so they under performed, they lack heart....

Outside of Huet, Markov and Ryder Montreal has nothing going for them.

Ok, you like Corsby...push that aside....if I'm undervaluing Crosby and overvaluing Sundin you;re doing the exact same thing I am but the other way around.

Bru - we all know Crosby is good, we all know there's a damn good chance he's going to kill some of Greztky's records, we all know he's going to win many more awards...but he's 19 (20 in august) and you can't possibly try to say that he's a better Captain than sundin when you have nothing to back it up, you're ignoring Sundin's accomplishments and glorifying Crosby's. Just because the guy can score doesn't make him a better captain; you have to understand that and if you don't you've totally lost sight of true facts. You can't even say Crosby is a better captain the Jason Smith from Edmonton....scoring and leading a team are two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS.

I know what I'm about to say isn't fair but if you argue this your making yourself look silly, very very silly. Crosby hasn't captained even one NHL game and you're saying he's a better captain.

Everybody seems to be on his wagon and that is well-deserved also. Like Wayne Gretzky, he is going to make the NHL a better sport.”

Cause Crosby won all of what? I think Ill take Olympic Gold, which Sundin has captained Sweden to, over anything Crosby has.

Oh God, someone here doesn't understand the concept of sarcasm. I mentioned the flu thing because it keeps getting brought up how Toronto's poor season was the result of injuries. Me talking about Montreal's flu problems was in an attempt to show how stupid it is to blame a season on injuries. Montreal's season was more derailed by the flu than Toronto's was by injuries. It's just plain stupid to use it as an excuse, and that was my original point.

You obviously know nothing about Montreal. It wasn't a team full of no-heart players with the exception of Koivu. It was the other way around. Some of the bigger name players didn't play with any heart, specifically Samsonov and Kovalev. Our second line was shit because of it. Our first line played very poorly defensively, and our second line did absolutely nothing. That's why we had such a poor season.

And disparaging Koivu's talent level shows how little you know of Montreal. Koivu is a very talented forward. His size and the injury bug has prevented him from reaching his full potential. He had 20 goals in his rookie season, and I believe was leading the NHL in scoring in his second year after 50 games when he was injured. He's had unbelievable bad luck and continues to battle back and battle through the adversity. He's hovered close to a point per game most seasons, and managed to put up 75 points in 81 games (only his 4th season with more than 70 games played). He is incredibly unlucky, but to say he doesn't have the talent to compliment his heart is just plain false.

I actually kinda agree with B&W, weve waited so long now anyways I dont mind no blowing everything up until Sundin leaves. Its not like I expect a cup anyways lol.
