love that idea, trying to think of a deal that would work though.

Would Bennett, Pouliot, and a 1st get it done? Would the Pens even pay that much for a rental? Tough call.

They may have to add a salary dump the other way if needed to take on Iginla’s contract too.

Iginla and Kiprusoff both looked amazing tonight agains the Black Hawks. I can’t believe Calgary lost that game. What a great hockey game though.

If he really wants a shot at the cup he should sign in Pittsburgh. He might have to take a slight salary cut, but they should still be able to sign him for 6-7m.

A powerplay of Iginla, Crosby, Neal, Letang and Malkin should be unstoppable. I could see Crosby, Malkin, Neal and Iginla all hitting 40+ goals on a team together.

Also wouldn’t surprise me one bit to see Iginla get traded then re-sign in Calgary. I guess it depends on how bad he wants a Cup but Calgary is his home.

In the off-season I had thought Washington was desperate for Iggys leadership but now it looks like they gotta make the playoffs first.

It would be weird to see Iggy in another jersey. I really think St.Louis should take a run at him. He would fit in perfectly with their style of play, and make them a legitimate Cup contender, if they weren’t one already.
