No :)... Cecil Turtle had about a half dozen cameo appearances in the Bugs Bunny Cartoon.
I have it from a close source that the Penguins are quietly trying to pursue Jags. They've offered back-to-back 1st round picks and a conditional 2nd round pick in '08.

Jags did most of his best work in the Steel City... could you just imagine a powerplay of Malkin-Crosby-Jagr-Gonchar and anyone else (Staal-Recchi or Whitney?). My god. It would be like the Straka-Kovalev-Jagr-Lemieux-Lang days

Unless your name starts with Sidney and ends with Crosby, I think you're fair game in the new NHL. Who would have thought Joe Thornton would have been traded?

Do I want to see Jagr go? Well, as a Rangers fan, I am torn between the desire to see this team TRULY hit the youth movement next season and my desire to not relegate my Jagr jersey to a spot next to my Bure jersey...

I mean lets be real, the Blueshirts have given no one any reason to believe they can make the playoffs, and even if they do, does anyone here that's not on medication believe they can win a game against the Buffalo's or the New Jersey's of the world?

Maybe it would be best to cut ties now. He's obviously on the decline, and would retire after next season anyway (as was reported last year). If we can get a sweet deal from a team like Anaheim or San Jose (teams with some nice young players that would need this guy to put them over the top and who want to counter act the Forsberg-to-Nashville deal).

Like I said, one player in this league is untouchable. Everyone else is fair game, so it's not a shock to me that a team that is clearly underachieving would dangle their primary asset at this point. I'd hate to see him go (especially given the fact that I have tickets against Pittsburgh on Thursday night and he might be the only one to get a goal on the board wearing blue) but this team's success last year really de-railed the long term plan.

I don't hate the Avery deal, I like the Avery deal, but I think it may have been able to get done without Cliche being moved. Jason Ward sucks and Jan Marek won't set foot on North American soil anytime soon.

I don't hate the Dupuis deal. I like the Dupuis deal, but Dominic Moore should have never been moved. Adam Hall was a huge bust in New York, and telling me that I could trade Dominic Moore for Pascal Dupuis isn't something I'd have been too open to listening to last offseason.

If the Rangers are serious about this youth movement (which Avery fits into nicely I might add), i think that Jagr can be moved, Nylander should be moved, and players from the Wolfpack should get a fair shake at making this roster next year.

I want Marc Stall in a Rangers jersey next season. I want to see Brandon Dubinsky and Nigel Dawes and Jarkko Immonen and Ivan Baranka and the rest of the litany of potentially NHL-Ready prospects in the system to get a fair shake at a spot. Buffalo has built a team from nothing with young players, I'd be hard pressed to believe the Rangers couldn't do the same.

Maybe I'm bitter over the Columbus loss (which I was in attendance for I might add and I never heard booing louder than at the end of the 2nd period) but this season is done. We're not making the playoffs and if we did, what's the point? We're going to go to Buffalo and beat the Sabres? Does any Ranger fan want to get swept AGAIN by New Jersey?

Taking Jagr and even Nylander off the books would free up around 7 million dollars in cap room (not verified) and personally, I'd like to see Daniel Briere in a Rangers jersey. I think with that kind of cap room, you could see the Rangers make a run for a franchise, young player like Briere, to start forming the new core.

Let's just blow up the top end, spend next season meshing the roster together, and open up 09 with a fast, young, hungry group of guys that will make the Garden proud. Let's do this the right way for once.
