All these new players are aqirable by trade or as free agents, it may seem a tad unrealistic because of the number of moves but…i just wanna see what you think about the line up…all extras will be put into the line-up depending on injuries, game situations, and player production…

watch out for those penalty boxes – especially when domi is sitting in one of them.

Edmonton wants a veteran goalie to pair with Markannen.

Toronto wants a transition goalie b/w Belfour and pogge/rask and it would make sense to have Telly and Conklin, who both have NHL experience, to battle it out for #1.

as for the salary differences. the Oilers have the cap space – if they really were worried about it, they could send Peca to Toronto to relieve that.

Most of the reports I’ve read and heard have left Tkachuck in St. Louis… the thought process here isn’t all that hard to follow… St. Louis will need to meet the Cap floor and with the state of their team it will be impossible to bring any high priced Free agents in to do that… If they hold onto him the retain his 5.2 million cap hit (despite his 3.2? salary the cap hit averaged if i’m not mistaken) which goes a long way… not to mention they have to do something to maintain a fan base…

Doan isn’t going anywhere, I agree with you… to even list him as a plausible trade, I think is rediculas…. he is part of the pheonix core group of players, and obviously someone “The Great One” has a lot of confidence in… so why would he trade him… Pheonix will build around him and Nagy and be strong up front for years…

Gaborik, see the explanation for Doan… Young tallented and a cornerstone of the Wild for years… going to love to see him and Parrish on the same line next year… put Mikko Koivu in the middle and they will have their first authentic top line offensive threat…

Again on the same line of thought… Bertuzzi is staying put and to list him again is rediculas… the problem isn’t Bertuzzi being unable to put what happened behind him, or wanting out of Vancouver… He loves the city and Naslund and will be the cornerstone for years… the problem is Morrison… Naslund and Bertuzzi need a center… they need someone who can play as setup man to them… thats why cassels worked so well on that line… he was a plane and simple setup man… Allison comes to mind, but not till the summer…

Biron… why trade Biron… “He will be traded” what makes you so sure… his stock is high, yes… but Miller could easily be hit by the same sophmore jinx as Raycroft and if the Buffalo managers don’t have that in the back of thier mind, theres nothing in there at all… If any Goaltender is on their way out it’s Noranen and all the reports I’ve heard point to this… ya he’s only played a handful of games, but he has a great potential and the limited goaltenders on the market right now will shoot his or any other goaltenders price through the roof… Teams looking for a #1 guy will be running after guys who have been there Joseph and Belfour… Birons limited playoff experiance wouldn’t put him in that catagory so if your just picking him up for insurance why not just grab Norenan…

Nothing would make me happier than seeing Toronto clear house… Trade McCabe, Sundin Belfour, Klee, Antropov, Tucker and Domi getting top flight prospects, strong young players and high draft picks in return… personally I would love to see Sundin in Calgary with a couple of top round picks and Leopold comming back the other way… but this trade would make common sence and that seems to be kryptonite to the Leafs… Saying all that, McCabe isn’t going anywhere… he is #2 in fan popularity and only a slice lower than Sundin… After splurging on Kaberle to let McCabe walk would be a bomb to fan moral, and letting McCabe walk would be the last move JFJ makes as GM…

not trying to attack you, just a difference of opinion… i think you listed a bunch of untouchables that won’t move as opposed to listing all the safe bets like Drake, Witt, Recchi, Jokinen, LeClair, Jackman, Bonk, Roloson, Joseph, Gauthier, Moris, York, Yashin (if they can find someone stupid enough)… so thanks for posting but you may have missed or ignored some of these considerations…
