1) I disagree. Both are speedy wingers who work along the boards. Both are fiesty and Prucha DOES throw his body around. McLaren took a huge run at Prucha, he got up and then answered by giving a check to McLaren. They both do that. Dawes's shot is a blast, so is Prucha's.

The only MAJOR difference is that Prucha shows his Euroness inside by having better moves with the puck and is probably a bigger threat on breakaways. Dawes is probably simpler with stick handling and the way he controls the puck is not as skillful.

2) Probably it won't but if the Rangers continued to lose games due to defense, I could have seen them do it, and i would have done it myself. Yeah Jagr could get moody, but nexy season is his last in the NHL (unless the Rangers get him to change his mind) and that would be all. Rangers could still get Jan Marek to sign and he'd be another Jagr-buddy teammate.

3) They do have it, but they can't find much room for it. I'd still keep Malik as from what I heard on MSG, he had 8 root canals and that really drains you. I'd leave Staal in his last season in juniors. I like what i saw from Pock and Baranka. Kaspar could be sent packing though. Not sure if it would be a good idea either. He is a character player and when he is on his game, he makes an impact on the team.

Sens have not given up on Meszaros yet, the names coming out of the Ottawa Sun are Volchenkov and/or Schubert (which IMO wont garner too much) while I would absolutely LOVE to acquire Cooke (Imagine a third line of Cooke, Fisher and Neil) I am not sure Morrison is the answer for Ottawa. In any event a more likely trade would be:

to Canucks
Vermette, Preissing and Hamel
to Senators
Morrison and Cooke

or hopefully

to Senators
a voucher for a free Big Mac
to anyone
Alexei Kaigorodov and some Tylenol (to help witht he headaches caused b this kid)

Listen to me: Jagr would get VERY upset. I read this post after I made my own also. Jagr and Prucha shared a house together last year. Look at the two of them when they celebrate. They do that almost sarcastic overhead left right pump (Hossa does too). These guys are actually friends and nobody in management will mess with it. Because you don't piss off the guy who leads the NHL in scoring. Did I mention Jagr is moody?

Your critique of the Rangers is just off. Stick to other teams.

#1: Nigel Dawes does not play a similar style to Prucha. Just because Dawes and Prucha are around the same height does not mean they have the same style. Dawes throws his body around a lot more, but has much less of a scoring touch. This is almost as bad as the guy that said Prucha was a poor man's Shanny last week. You people don't understand Rangers hockey.

#2 A Prucha-Seabrook trade would never happen. Not only has Prucha developed a very tight relationship with the captain and man who leads the NHL in scoring, but he is, by all reports, a hard worker. He plays at 100% every night. And you don't want to piss off Jagr. Ever. He is moody.

#3 Although the Rangers defense has been shakey lately, they have a lot of young talent, as you said. Trade Kasparitis. Maybe trade Malik. Make space for Staal and Pock. Maybe bring Leetch in. No matter what you do, do not pull the trigger on a trade that sees Prucha exit.

You have not been to the Garden for the last 2 years. Prucha is a fan favorite. I don't care that he has been pushed to the secondary by Shanny. This kid will be in the blue until Jagr retires, mark my words.

Alright, I agree, we do need a centre. But only if the price is right, and its not for someone useless like Allison. It needs to be a Sutter style player, not just an offensively minded Maple Leaf who can't play defence. So mikster, touche.
