Haha, oh man, Kadri and Colborne as our top 2 centres... yikes. I think Bozak and Connolly would equate to the same general results.

Not liking that at all. I really hope Burke doesn't trade his 5th overall pick unless its to move up, or *Maybe* to move down a spot or 2 and grab another asset.

I am with you on this one I think Stewart would be a good pickup. He would fit in perfectly on our second line, and hes from Toronto so he should be pumped to play here. I don`t know what would get it done in a trade maybe something centred around Gunnarson.

Also really like what Philly is done, I think they got a steal in Couturier I can`t believe the Flyers got him picking 8th, a big Centre who is skilled and can skate I would love to have him on the Leafs.

I would rather do this:

First option: Try to land the rights to Vokoun before July 1st to get the jump on him. Trading for a pending UFA should be less expensive than trading for a star who may become available like Tim Thomas or Mikka Kiprusoff, or someone like that. And with Holtby looking so promising, Vokoun will probably be let go. Also on CBC and TSN they mentioned that Vokoun approached the Leafs last summer before Burke turned him down. Wouldn't mind revisiting that now.

2: If Vokoun can't be had I would look at the star goalies available through trade. Kipper and Thomas are the standouts who may be available. There's talk about Backstrom in Minny being maybe available.

3. If we can't get any of those guys I would rather just try to sign a veteran UFA back up like a Marty Biron, or Johan Hedberg, and then roll the dice that Reimer's neck injury/concussion is a thing of the past and that he can return to form.

After those 3 options fail, I would consider trading for Lu if its later in the summer, and Vancouver is unable to get what they're looking for back from anyone making the price change. In this case I wouldn't mind seeing Lu come to Toronto.

Didn't even make it suggestive. Rookie in the top line center spot is a bad idea. I even said in above comment Kadri plays wing.

Hey, I'm not the one making the trade proposal.

But then again, Kadri would be even worse. It would be similar to when Kessel played the position two years ago.

Just because you're drafted at the position...Some players should not play it in the NHL.

Unfortunately teams with a bottom 6 level center playing on the top line rarely succeed. Colborne on the top line is a quick way to failure and ruining him. It's just a stupid idea.

Colborne is less ready offensively...But defensively, he is ahead of Kadri.

Pretty much Kadri would be able to chip in offensively and be poor defensively.

While Colborne will be able to be better defensively, but chip in less offensively. But playing with Kessel and Nash would that matter as much? He does not need to do much to contribute offensively. Ask Bozak.

Cancucks blogger on Hockeybuzz? Something tells me that he may have pulled that out of his ass.

I don't like the idea at all. It's way to much to give up for Nash. Going with two rookies for two of the top three centers? That's a great way to run into issues. And like it or not, Colborne is less ready for a top 6 role than Kadri is. I'm fine having come into the the 3rd line role and growing from there but he needs to work on his offensive consistency.

If we're going with Colborne/Kadri/Bozak as our top 3 (in whatever order) it's not going to end well.
