I'm not angry at you! Your article was good. It's the fact that they both posting a note, but then just create a whole new article on the SAME thing for NOTHING that bothers me. It pushes off other articles off the main page (none of which are mine, so one cannot accuse me of being self-interested or biased) and has left this one bereft of comments, as evidenced by the 100+ posts on the other one and nothing on here since the other one was created.

Just poor administration on this site all in all.

Al Strachan was on The Score suggesting that for Holland and Rutherford, the Leafs GM post would be a "dream job". While I agree that it does carry an amount of prestige, if you look at the environment there today, I'd hardly call it a "dream job", especially for Holland. Going from Detroit to Toronto would be a step down, I think. And I don't see Rutherford leaving Peter Karmanos and Carolina, as they have a pretty long history working together to develop one of the premiere hockey development programs in the US. I think come draft day, you'll see either Neil Smith or Colin Campbell at the helm.

Strachan mentioned a whole bunch of names, some pretty laughable (Lou Lamoriello, Bob Goodenow????), some puzzling (Bob Nicholson, Dave Branch). But that's what we've all come to expect from Strach, I guess.

Comment before the press conference, but was right in that Fletcher is only there for the time being. Not sure who will be the man next year now. Burke has no interest, but them saying Ken holland or Jim Rutherford seems interesting, especially the later would rejoin with Maurice.

Id like to see john Muckler hes the one that build the sens wouldnt that be a kick in the sac, muckler comes to toronto and wins a cup before ottawa does hahahah prob never happen but it would be funny as hell

I agree, MacLean isn't my choice of favorites. I belive that Fletcher will just take over to start the rebuilding and a new GM will be hired in the off season. Things should get pretty interesting up to the trade deadline.

I'm not so sure that Fletcher will go beyond this year, I think you will see the Leafs go after a much larger name in the off season. Things will definetly be interesting leading up to the trade deadline. Funny thing with this situation is that Peddie stated that everything will still go through him.

Well thank god its not him then, they are now saying Cliff Fletcher, but I believe he will only finish out the year. Things should be interesting leading up to the trade deadline, the rumors will be flying high now.
