Wesley would consider Toronto.

The Fourth Period – According to the Toronto Sun, Carolina defenseman Glen Wesley appears to be willing to become a Maple Leaf. “If it arises that Toronto has some interest in me, it is something I am going to look at,” the Hurricanes defenceman said yesterday. “I think for any Canadian kid, to play in Toronto would be a thrill. I think it would be exciting for anyone to put on the Leafs uniform.”

Leafs general manager/coach Pat Quinn would like to add a defenseman. Along with Wesley, the Leafs may look into Bryan Marchment of the San Jose Sharks, Alexei Zhitnik of the Buffalo Sabres and Lyle Odelein of the Chicago Blackhawks.

It would be awesome if Toronto acquires Glen Wesley. Possessing deadly accuracy from the point with both his slapshot and wrist shot, Wesley has been a fixture on the Boston Bruin and Carolina Hurricane power plays throughout his career.
