i think everything will work out nicely. The way I look at it, the team is pretty much the same, but now when they make the playoffs they have experience (shanny cullen ward). I think, assuming Lundqvist and Jagr are healthy this year, they playoffs will be quite a different story.

I agree to a lot of what has been said here, but not everything. First of all, Ortmeyer. You are right, he isn't as young as he seems, and it doesnt seem like there is room for him to get much better. However, I feel that he is a great fit for the team right now. He will get in front of anything coming his way, and as you pointed out his leadership... in blocking all of his shots he sets a great example of a young player with a big heart. The same pertains to Hollweg. I think if they ever let him go it would be a big mistake. One thing the Rangers lacked at the beginning of last season was toughness. Eventually Hollweg got more ice time and basically made a name for himself within a couple of games. He also is a great fit, and unlike Orr, Ryan has some potential to improve his skill. In the end it comes down to chemistry and with some of the new additions I think the Rangers are going to really pull it together this year. Oct. 5th, I am so pumped.
