Signing Tucker for that length for that kind of money doesn't make sense in my mind. Sign him for $10 over 3 years that way you aren't stuck with him if he's hurt later in the contract which is a strong possibility with his style of play.
Peca is good, but not good for $3M I agree at 2 tops.
Forget Esche. He's done, if you want to get a back up then look elsewhere, or let Racine be back up or bring up Pogge if he's ready.

lol who are you kidding? sakic is the equivalent of yzerman, except he's even better. he will finish his career with the Avs and will play for another 3-4 years…that will be his final contract as a player, then he'll move into management.

I hope The Nuck's dump Nazzy and go after Sakic. I would love to see Burnaby Joe in aa Canucks uniform. Even though Vancouver isn't a contender I think they could be if they trade there bad player who still have value (cough, cough Ohlund, Chouinard, Cooke, Morrison).

Shanahan will not return to the Rangers considering the amount of younger talent on the market, he will likely retire or go elsewhere. Straka will likely retire, he was considering it this offseason. Nylander will probably be gone too. The Rangers will target these players: at center- Briere, Datsyuk, and Drury, with Forsberg, Lang, and Nylander as backup plans, at the wings- Nagy, Smyth, Zubrus, Doan, and Sturm, with Kariya, Kozlov, and Kapanen as backup plans, at D-Hannan, Souray, and Brewer, with Phillips, Preissing, and Brewer as backup plans. Likely they will not go hard after dmen considering Marc Staal is expected to arrive next season and they have a surplus as is.
