Who Will Go Where:Part 2?

There are still many players availible which I haven’t listed in my previous article. Well here they

are:

John LeClair: This guy can provide leadership and depth, but lets face it, this guy is done. If a team were to pick him up it would be only to help mold

young players. The teams most interested are the

Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadians, and the Vancouver Canucks.

Brad Richards: The Tampa Bay Lightning want to free up cap space and they could get so many prospects and draft picks for him I can see why they want to trade him. Richards is still a very good,

young player and has many good years ahead of him. The teams most interested are the Montreal Canadains, Minnesota Wild, and the Colorado Avalanche.

Marc Recchi: Like LeClair this guy is wahed up. A team would only want him if they were desperate and had lots of key injuries (a.k.a The Flyers). The

teams that are most interested are the Philadelphia

Flyers and the Montreal Canadians.

Mark Parrish: Mark Parrish has speed, agility and

the scoring touch. Any team would would be interested in this guy and with Mark “Stupid Trades”

Millbury as GM we could see a trade soon. The most

interested teams are the Montreal Candians, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers, and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Jeff Friesen: This guy has been one of the biggest

free-agent busts all year. When he was signed by

the Caps they exoected big things from him. The

reason he isn’t doing to well, he doesn’t have a good center to play with. The Caps tried to get him a center with the signing of Andrew Cassels but we

all know how that turend out. The teams most interested in him are the Edmonton Oilers, Toronto

Maple Leafs, Philadelphia Flyers, Minnesota Wild,

Montreal Canadians, and the Vancouver Canucks.

Sergei Gonchar: I am so dissapointed in Gonchar right now. He was supposed to bring depth to the Pittsburgh defense-core, he didn’t. With his $5 million dollar salary I am shocked that there are teams even interested in him, the Montreal Canadians, New York Rangers, Toronto Maple Leafs and Philadelphia Flyers have all been calling in.

Brian Leetch: Brian Leetch will be 38 soon and can’t play defense anymore. The New York Rangers and

Toronto Maple Leafs are most interested but I don’t

see why the Leafs are in the first place. He is only good for one thing, powerplay QB. The Leafs already have a QB in McCabe so I don’t see why they’d want two? The Rangers seem the likely destination for Leetch.

Patrick Lalime:Lalime can still play in the goal but the reason he is struggling is because the Blues don’t have any depth on defence. The teams most

interested are the Ottawa Senators, Edmonton Oilers, Vancouver Canucks and Philadelphia Flyers.

Curtis Joseph: The Coyotes are out of the playoff hunt and Cujo only has about 29 regular season games left in his contract. This guy is still an awesome goalie in the NHL and the teams most interested are the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton

Oilers, Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Montreal Canadians.

Dwayne Roloson: The Minnesota Wild are out of the playoff race and they have two exceptional goalies.

They have admitted they favor Manny Fernadez over Roloson so expect Roloson to nbe gone soon.

The teams most interested are the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, Montreal Canadians and

Toronto Maple Leafs.

No chance any of this is going to happen…..does not make any biz sense….Leetch to the Rangers…Why…? They look pretty good to me….Roloson to Canuks or Oilers and look what a surprise the Leafs…..No Chance and never….he will stay in minny…Lalime…actually l heard is making pizza’s with lou fransisgetti and Brad Marsh in Toronto somewhere….Gonchar….at 5 Million plus…l don’t think even the buds are that dumb..Brad Richards will go to a playoff contender because they will give up a first rounder for him….ONLY if they can lock him into a long term deal…otherwise no chance….I’ll give you some credit for trying…..

  2. Toonces99 says:

Sundin has a no-trade clause…no way he lifts it to go to Vancouver…..and why send so many players one way…. Bertuzzi is not that good to command that much….

  3. newnoiseimage says:

i have heard of willie mitchell and jeff friesen.

  4. flyerscupin06 says:

haha everyone is free to give me crap about the dougie weight mistake…i was lookin at the us homepage a minute ago and that name stuck with me will in my tyrad about how stupid these rumors are….i meant jokinen and Keith T. for young kids..flyers are not gettin D or G.

Stevens was never the same after that horrible incident where he had to have reparations done to his face…but it was all over when he just couldn’t skate well anymore. It wasn’t just losing Lemieux, he looked like a different player in LA, Boston and NY, than he did earlier in his career. LeClair needs to improve defensively to play on a 3rd line.

The way that the Fins have been playing thus far in the olympics an interestind trade idea has popped in my head for, a three way deal involving montreal anaheim and florida

    to Montreal

    -Teemu selanne

    -Olli Jokinen

    to Anaheim

    -Luongo

    -Ribeiro

    to Florida

    -Gigure

    -Kovalev

and some prospect/draft pick here and there

What do u think? As a Habs fan I would love this trade even tho we give up Kovalev and Ribs–>useless right now anyway and i beleive each team gets excellent players all round

  7. hockey_expert1 says:

lmao. lmao especially at the things about how you “know” teams are interested in all these players you mentioned. No players from Pittsburgh you mentioned are going anywhere. Management screwed up big time giving those guys big contracts and no one wants them. Brad Richards? A salary dump? He’s getting paid less than $2 million this year and….I’m already bored I’m done with this rant.

  8. Gretz99NYR says:

Take your pick…I think they could all work.

  9. sid49 says:

wow the oilers seorsily need a golie if they wanna look like a stanley cup team

  10. Flyers70 says:

You might recall that Stevens also had a do*****ented problem with crack cocaine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Stevens). That couldn’t have helped.

  11. mmatras says:

Minnesota will NOT trade within the NW Division. It makes no sense. They have excess of a precious commodity and are not willing to share it with their division foes…

Furthermore, its Mike Milbury, not Mark.

Lalime is struggling not because of his D, but because he’s not a good goalie. The other St. Louis goalies haven’t bit the big one quite as much as Lalime has.

Friesen was not a Free Agent signing, therefore he cannot be seen as a free agent bust. He was traded for a CONDITIONAL PICK. There were no big expectations for him this year. He’s failed to live up to expectations since the day he was drafted. Saying Friesen hasn’t lived up to expectations this year is like saying Daigle hasn’t quite lived up to expectations either.

Gonchar: What do people expect him to do? He can’t soley repsonsible for keeping the puck out of his zone. And his offensive upside is not what’s needed in Pittsburgh. He’s having a below par season statistically, but I still believe that Gonchar’s $25M over 5 will prove to be a good deal, especially as the cap increases over the next two or three years. Pittsburgh will not unload its premier defensman and start from scratch.

Richards is going nowhere. You don’t trade away a Conn Smythe winner…ever…unless you’re an Oilers GM during the Peter Pocklington era (puke), Mike Milbury, or…wait…the Tampa GM who put their CAPTAIN on WAIVERS!!! Still, even though I’m 100% against trading/waiving/not signing captains, the move to put get rid of Anderychuk had to be to free up money down the road for Richards (I know his salary still counts against the cap next year, but it allows for a back weighted deal which will be nice for everyone as the cap will surely increase)

The first team to land one of the good goalies (ie Raycroft, Biron etc) will be Edmonton. They need it more than anyone else, and they have the depth at forward, D, and prospects (and cap room) to make the move. Plus, they only need a temporary situation as Dubnyk is coming up (I’m not convinved he’s the real deal…)

Oh yeah, Millbury isn’t the GM anymore either. Where do you get your info about who’s interested in who when you still think ‘mark’ Millbury is the GM. For the record, in case you didn’t hear…This just in: Terry Sawchuck has retired and Gretzky just got traded from Edmonton to the Kings…

Come on buddy, you write as though you’re ‘in the loop’ and you know who’s calling who…and you can’t even figure out that ‘mark’ millbury is done with NYI and Jeff Friesen was traded…

  12. GretzNYR99 says:

You seemed to have forgotten the 2003 Rags/Pens swap that saw Alexei Kovalev go to the Rangers for a flaming bag of dog shit, a puck, and a water bottle.

  13. NYIGoalie23 says:

Mark Milbury.. hahaha that cracks me up. You really seem to know your stuff.. stay on top of the hockey world.

  14. Dynamo710 says:

No way in hell Mike Keenan gives up Luongo and Jokinen to get Giguere and Kovalev. He’d have to be nuts and he’s not that stupid.

You’re giving up a useless Ribiero and an aging Kovalev and getting back two of the most dynamic players in the new NHL. Of course you would love this trade. Are you sure you’re not a leafs fan with that kind of trade proposal??

    Keep dreaming buddy!!

  15. Scottman75 says:

Remember you’re dealing with Mike Keenan.

    Anything is possible!

  16. Scottman75 says:

Interesting theory however you will not see Selanne leave Anaheim a second time, especially for a Canadian team.

  17. Jrugges says:

Who are the redwings interested in adding? I know they dont have much cap room, and I know they dont really need much since they are one of the best teams in the league already, but teams are always looking to improve and I havent heard much around the winged wheel.

  18. mmatras says:

I hope your not expecting an informed response from the original author…that guy doesn’t know crap…

  19. EmptyNetter says:

I haven’t heard anything but they have some pressing concerns. Elias just got hurt in the Olympics but I haven’t heard how serious it is or how long he’s expected to be out. They don’t have much cap room so I’m not sure they can do much if they need to replace him. They still have Almo in the minors but I haven’t heard that anybody wants to trade for him.

  20. oilers_rock says:

Curtis Joseph: The Coyotes are out of the playoff hunt and Cujo only has about 29 regular season games left in his contract. This guy is still an awesome goalie in the NHL and the teams most interested are the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton

That’s right except Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal ane not getting him!

THIS WHOLE STORY IS NONSENSE, IT IS JUST DUMB. I READ THE PART 1 AND NOW THE PART 2 AND I JUST CAN’T HOLD IT IN ANYMORE, I MYSELF AM A LEAFS FAN, BUT I KNOW AS WELL AS ANYONE THAT DARCY TUCKER ISN’T GOING TO BE TRADED, HE IS THE ENERGY OF THE LEAFS AND LEADING GOAL GETTER. AND THEN FOR ALL THOSE PLAYERS YOU SAID THE LEAFS ARE INTERESTED IN, IT’S ALL BOLONY. I KNOW FOR A FACT AS I’VE TALKED TO SOME WHO HAS CLOSE CONNECTIONS TO LEAFS SOURCES WHO THE LEAFS ARE AND AREN’T INTERESTED IN. HERE ARE THE NAMES THE LEAFS ARE INTERESTED IN AND PAY ISN’T ALL OVER THE TOP. ON DEFENCE THEY’VE TALKED TO MANY TEAMS TRYING TO FIND THE BEST DEAL AVAILABLE PLAYERS THEY TALKED ABOUT ARE:

KEITH CARNEY, JASSEN CULLIMORE, BOB BOUGHNER, ERIC CAIRNS, KUBA, RIC JACKMAN, BROOKS ORPIK, DENIS GAUTHIER, BARRET JACKMAN, AND BRENDAN WITT.

ON OFFENCE IT PRETTY MUCH THE SAME:

TYLER ARNASON, MARK BELL, TREVOR LETOWSKI, RECCHI, RYAN MALONE, COMRIE, MIKE JOHNSON, DALLAS DRAKE, ALEX MOGILNY THE ONLY BIG BLOCKBUSTER NAMES THAT WERE MENTIONED, AND SUPER UNLIKELY AS I WAS TOLD WERE: SHANE DOAN, ETHAN MOREAU, RAFFI TORRES, PATRICK MARLEAU AND BRAD RICHARDS, I WAS TOLD THESE WERE JUST CALLS FROM THE TEAMS TO SEE WHAT THE ASKING PRICE WOULD BE!

  22. TheNotoriousJRD says:

What a suprise…The Leafs are gonna get everyone AGAIN this year…You leaf fans need to jump off.

  23. flyerscupin06 says:
