Will the Oilers shop Penner?

— Oilers winger Dustin Penner, who justified his $4.25 million annual salary last year with 32 goals and 65 points, is back to looking uninterested. Talk around Edmonton is that he has lacked passion and could be traded before the deadline. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent after next season.http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/sabres-nhl/inside-the-nhl/article260364.ece

Considering there are 30 teams in the league, I think the habs fall under the remaining 29.. And no, no they couldn't.

we have the cap room! currently we have 2 millions dollars and with markov's money going towards long term injury we'll have around another 4 million so we have the cap space

uhhhh yes we could out bid the leafs! we didn't trade our 1st r.d pick away which would be included in any deal along with lots of the prospects we have

Lets start here:  where do you see $2mil in cap space? On NHL numbers, hockeybuzz .. it shows less than $1million. On capgeek, it shows $1.06 million. Can you show a link to where it shows them having $2mikl + in cap space?

Yes, with Markov on LTIR, you will have some cap flexibility. Perfect.

So lets try this and see how silly this gets:   give us all your trade between Montreal and Edmonton. What players do you see going to Edmonton to get Penner back? Hmmm?

http://www.hockeybuzz.com/cap-central/ this is according to nlscap i don't know when the last time it was updated but it shows that we have 2.4 million in cap space aand with markov's injury i know we roughly have about 4 million
