Zednik is a good player who just needs to have a chance..remember how great he looked skating with Koivu and Kovalev a few years back?

Okposo is a solid hockey player and I can't wait til he tears it up for the Islanders!!! That draft pick offsets the year where we selected Nilsson over Parise. Times are changing on the Island and I'm LOVING it!!!

The isles were in the running for Guerin but Davidson is no fool and wanted okposo in return. Thank God Snow didnt pull the trigger on that one cus Okposo is having a great freshman year.

This trade is a tad boring to make at this point. With the team on fire it would be nice to grab someone with a little "sexier" name than zednik. The guy has some scoring talent but with the team on a roll you shouldnt mess with the chemistry unless its a top level guy. Hopefully someone else is on the way.

Newsday has reported that the Islanders have NOT been in the running for Guerin, contrary to popular belief. The only thing left to see as far as they are concerned is whether or not they trade Blake. It should be interesting. With 5 teams reportedly after Blake (Nashville, Vancouver, Detroit, Dallas, and San Jose) there has to be at least one appealing offer. I'm not sure where I stand on the issue. The only way I would agree with trading Blake is if we acquire someone that can help the team win TODAY, not in 2009.
Say what you want, but the Isles are one of the hottest teams in the NHL right now. They can be a cinderella story! LETS GO ISLANDERS!!!!
