So with Whitney in town to face the Coyotes on Tuesday at Jobing.com Arena, and with the Coyotes facing his Stars two times in the next three games, the speculation has begun that Phoenix might consider bringing The Wizard back to add a little scoring punch for a playoff push.
Consider for a moment if this team could, for argument’s sake, get into the running for a player like Thomas Vanek. Re: a winger who could score and would have a chance of playing well with the twins in their years to come in this uniform.

Edmonton GM Craig MacTavish has been the most active this season. He’s finally started to deliver on his promise to make moves. He isn’t done by any stretch. Expect to see left winger Ryan Jones, defenceman Nick Schultz, defenceman Corey Potter and right wing Ales Hemsky moved.
Trading Callahan to the Blue Jackets, with whom the Rangers are competing for a playoff spot and could conceivably meet in a cross-pollination first round, seems like a crazy idea, but the Blueshirts would sure have to think about it if Columbus would send 24-year-old Cam Atkinson, Chris Kreider’s Boston College Eagles teammate, to the Garden.
