Michal Neuvirth [2-3-1, 2.83, .912], whose agent has requested a trade, has not played since Nov. 22.

So, are the Caps ready to make this a long-term commitment to Grubauer, who is 5-2-2 with a 2.02 goals-against average and .938 save percentage?

Rangers can’t find a taker for Del Zotto

Whether this was the intention or not, the fact of the matter is Michael Del Zotto has become the Rangers’ whipping boy.

For the eighth time this season and the seventh time in the previous 22 games, Del Zotto was made a healthy scratch for Tuesday’s 2-1 shootout win over the Panthers at the BB&T Center. The former wunderkind defenseman has spoiled under new coach Alain Vigneault, and his future with the franchise has never looked more unstable.
