Sedins Stay Out West

Its official. The Sedin twins have re-signed in Vancouver for 5 years

The annual salary averages out to be 6.1 mil. The Nucks didnt break the bank and maybe have enough to bolster their D.

They were at around 32 million in salary commitments. these deals bring them to 44 million with about 12 more mil in cap space. They’ll likely spend another 10 mil to maintain some breathing room during the year, but still add a good player.

They either need to bring Ohlund back or find another solid defenceman. Another forward is an option. They could try and add a couple of cheap blueliners and go for broke with Gaborik. They have options but the need on D is probably priority number one.

they can sign wellwood for around 1 mill and if they can get gaborik to sign a contract baste on how many games he plays with a max payout around 6-6.5 that would leave them around 4.5 to get another dman. Marc-Andre Bergeron would be a good one to fit the bill as he has a good point shot for the pp which the nucks have been needing.
