One of the tid bits of speculation that he provides is that the Los Angeles Kings have stepped into the Peter Forsberg shopping spree. He also speculates that the New York Islanders have made a waiver dump in order to sign free agent Bryan Berard.

Latendresse taking things for granted??

Unlike the previous season, when Guillaume Latendresse arrived in training camp this past September he was already assured a spot on the roster. Has that slowed the younger power forward down though?

Anyway you look at it #24 is a totally different defencemen then the one we traded for. The old McCabe would fight hit and was developing into a great defencive defencemen with a huge shot. Now today the only quality he has of those is the big shot. Now the question is how did he get there?

Toskala gets start against Habs

AM 640 in Toronto is reporting that Vesa Toskala will get the start tonight for the Maple Leafs in their game against the Canadiens.

Andrew Raycroft played in the opener with so-so reviews, as you would expect, and Vesa Toskala made his debut in Ottawa, and played well.

Redden to be shipped out of Ottawa?

Slam Sports is suggesting that Wade Reddens days as a Ottawa Senator could be coming to an end. It is speculated that the huge contract of Dany Heatley and the pending UFA of Jason Spezza could be the catalyst for the Sens to move Redden because they will most likely not be able to resign him at the conclusion of this season.

TSN.ca is reporting that the oft injured Martin Havlat was injured in last night’s game. Havlat was supposed to be one of the main pieces of the puzzle for the Hawks in their road back to recovery.

In my mind it is between Phoenix, Chicago, and L.A. All 3 organizations have great depth, but each of their top 3 prospects are leaps and bound above other teams top 3.
