Leaf fans to blame for Free Fall?

Fans to blame for the Maple Leafs free fall?

Many Leaf fans, as many do when in their shoes; have blamed Maple Leafs General Manager, John Ferguson Jr. for the awful play from the members of the blue & white. Some have even extended an extra finger at Paul Maurice, Richard Peddie and part owner, Larry Tanenbaum. So much finger pointing has been going on lately it’s hard to remember who we’re blaming for what and why. But thus is the life of a Maple Leaf fan. Leaf fans are the only fans in pro sports who each think that they are the actual GM, and in some ways, they’re right.

Backup Goaltenders.

This might be a bit delayed but it has been bugging me for a while now. This wont be that long of a text but i just need to get this out there, and see other peoples input about this as well. Now there’s no doubt that Toronto has faced a majority of backup goaltenders during the duration of the season thus far, but with everyone saying that Toronto is made up of “2 career backup goaltenders” wouldn’t that mean that the teams that have faced us thus far have faced backup goalies as well?

thoughts?

Trade Idea for Habs

The habs have alot of goaltending and need a sniper or power forward. With the emergence of Carey Price, would he be ready to be #1 with a veteran behind him?

Sundin STAYING in T.O. for the rest of the season.

If Mats Sundin dosen’t retire before the end of the season, sportsnet.ca reported that Sundin likes it in Toronto and wants to stay there for the rest of the 2007-08 season. And since he has a NTC, the Leafs can’t decide whether they want to trade him or not. He said Toronto is his home, and he said while he was playing in Toronto, he never considered playing anywhere else. So, stop making up rumours about Sundin being traded somewhere else!

LATENDRESSE IS A 1ST LINE PLAYER……

HE’S BIG, EXTEMELY HARD TO KNOCK OFF THE PUCK, AND HAS GREAT STICK HANDLING ABILITY…..GIVEN THE CHANCE, THIS KID CAN SCORE 30 GOALS…PUT HIM IN ANY OTHER SITUATION BESIDES MONTREAL AND HIS POTENTIAL AS A SNIPER WOULD BE HANDLED WITH WAY MORE PATIENCE AND THE WHOLE “HE’S ONLY HERE BECAUSE HE’S FRENCH” DEBAUCLE WOULDN’T EXIST…….TAKE AWAY THE FACT HE’S NOT GUY LAFLEUR, THAT NO ONE EXPECTS HIM TO BE, AND HE’S JUST ANOTHER YOUNG POWER FORWARD WORKING HIS WAY TO A SOLID NHL CAREER……SERIOUSLY PEOPLE, WHAT DID YO EXPECT FROM HIM?

Montreal Canadien Deceptions

Hi All,

After my post on the Habs top 5 revelations so far this year, here is a list of the 5 players that have been underachieving so far this season.

This good ship Leaf is sinking but not yet sunk.

They say that there are no simple solutions to the Leafs woes. But I’m not that sure that the answer is all that hard. Every one and their mothers have had an opinion on what the Leafs should do. Most jounalists are crying for Richard Petty’s head on a platter. It’s been stated that the leafs need to rid themselves of petty in favor of a Colagelo type manager.

Farm Report : Marlies

We have heard countless times of how the Leafs are near the cap limit, and I have viewed a few sights but each have different numbers on how close they are. The typical amount amount i’ve seen is 200 000 of cap space left (I will not confirm this number as i do not know the true salary Figures) We also all know how much money our beloved Buds make annually, so this is why i suggest the following.

Why the NHL won't expand in Canada

Why the NHL won’t expand in Canada?

Leaf Management Is The Real Problem Here

Richard Peddie has yet to become the villain that JFJ is but I can see it going that way soon. To me Richard Peddie has become the latest version of Harold Ballard. Maybe not to the extent of Ballard but he has done little to help this team.

First off look what he did to the Raptors by appointing HIS man to the post of GM of that team. Rob Bab***** was hands down the worst GM in Raptors short history. Peddie allowed the Raptors to become the joke of the NBA. Also proving he knows nothing on how to run a basketball team.

Second he appoints JFJ as GM of the Leafs. JFJ has done absolutely nothing for this team but burden the Leafs with foolish contracts and trade away the future for nothing that is helping the team now. In the last four years JFJ has dealt away three of the four first round picks in the Leetch, Raycroft, and Toskala deals. Also he has not made a single deal to further the franchise.

Sourced Trade Rumours 11

In light of the recent suspension of Flyers forward Scott Hartnall, I decided to make Trade Rumours 11 to lighten the mood on the HTR Main Page. So, here it is.

What the All Stars will look like

Here is how I think the 2008 All Stars will look. We all know that each team is required to have one representative thus not all the best players make it. Here is a list of who I think the NHL will put on the team. Post your opinions on who I omitted, who the league might omit, and who you think should be on the team.

Tough Month Ahead For Habs Who's the Dead Wieght So far?

With 13 wins under their belt Montreal is looking like they will most likely make the playoffs. Also I don’t think Montreal is getting the respect they deserve considering they were predicted to finish close to last in the east. December will be a big test for Montreal, it will pretty much give them an idea where they will finish at the end of the season and probably decide who is the dead wieght on the team…
