Roberts wants to stay in Florida???

The PalmBeachPost.com reports that Gary Roberts is wanting to stay with the Panthers. If he is traded his first choices are the Senators or the Maple Leafs because of a family connection in Ontario. Personally, I don’t see how anyone could fault Roberts on wanting to stay close to his daughter as he has most of his time on the road.

STLToday speculates on the future of Guerin

STLToday.com proves an in-depth article on the Blues leading goal scorer, Bill Guerin. It is reported that the Blues are looking to deal him before the deadline in order to “capitalize on his trade value.” The main teams that appear to have interest in Guerin include San Jose, Anaheim and Detroit.

Rumors of the Day

The New York Post (Larry Brooks) is reporting that the Rangers are looking at Eric Brewer of the St. Louis Blues. Looking long term, UFA season in the summer, Brooks also suggests that the Flyers will be looking to sign a big name goalie and they the Flyers have their sights set on either Martin Biron or J.S. Giguere.

Moves coming quickly

There seems to be a tangible feeling that things are about to explode. Everyone was waiting for Forsberg to move to guage market price, and now that the Forsberg benchmark has been set, the dominoes will start to fall.

I'm Back: The Return of thatleafsguy

What is the deal people? We are less than 10 days away from the trade deadline and where are the rumors? I’ll tell you what, pay Eklund 20 bucks and see if he can make some up for you.

Where are all the legitimate rumors, everybody seems to be making stuff up these days and some are profiting off of it. But I digress…

NHL Trade Buzz – Fantasy Impact, Part III

Part three of three in taking a look at some of the trade buzz, which players are available, and what you should do in your hockey pool to prepare for these moves that may or may not happen.

Not so Sympathetic to Dave's Cause….

For thirty years Dave Keon avoided the Maple Leafs like the plague, and for a while, he was right to do so.

Habs want to keep Souray

The score reported that bob Gainey has contacted the Sheldon Souray camp and made it clear that they have no intentions of trying to trade Souray before the trade deadline and have all intentions of trying to sign him this summer.

M-A Bergeron traded to the Isles

According to Hockeybuzz, defensemen Marc-André Bergeron has been traded to the Islanders in exchange of d-men Denis Grebeshkov.

Could the Avs consider trading Sakic???

The Mercury News raises some interesting speculation regarding Joe Sakic. If the Avalanche continue to slip further and further behind the 8th place team and feel that they are not going to be able to make the playoffs, do they have to consider trading Sakic who will become unrestricted at the seasons end.

I Wish I Didn't Watch That Train Wreck

This afternoon the Rangers and Flyers game was an absolute train wreck in more ways than one.

I came home at 5PM today, after spending the day studying for an upcoming test, to watch the Rangers, which I had recorded, continue their drive for the playoffs. Well, today there was no drive. The Rangers were more or less just going through the motions, they were back on “track” so to speak, playing like they did for most of the season.

Huet to have surgery

Heard the news on the French Radio covering the canadiens’ games…

”Huet will be having surgery tomorrow related to his left leg injury.
Will most likely be out for the season.”

Kovy must go, maybe time for Saku too?

Alex Kov needs to be moved – 4.5 million with 13 goals just don’t cut the mustard. Get a good young player for him. Someone with heart. His salary can be used to keep Souray and say whatever you want Souray has become the voice of the team. I stood behind Saku the whole time he’s been with the habs but I’m serious when I say it’s time for a new leader.
