BRIAN BURKE

This is my second post here. I had no choice but to leave my opinion about Maple Leaf Fans.

First of, I am a Die Hart Leaf fan my self, It make me sick to read comment from people who have no idea about hockey, complaining about What Brian Burk should do, How much they hate Brian Burk because what he said on his interviews.

Dominic Moore on the move?

Dominic Moore will likely be moved by the trade deadline. It has been said Moore’s agent and Burke were disputing over Moore’s salary. It has been rumoured Moore asked for $2.75 million a year for 2 or 3 years.

Coming closer!

Its less than two days from the trade deadline and have seen quite a few players gone so far.

Tsn.ca reports that the “Atlanta Thrashers traded defenceman Niclas Havelid to the New Jersey Devils in exchange for blueliner Annsi Salmela.”

Here’s some of the latest deadline chatterings:

FAN 590 – Doug MacLean stated the Leafs and Columbus may be talking of a bigger deal including Nik Antropov+ (names Dominic Moore, Anton Strahlman & a draft pick as options) for Pascal LeClaire. LeClaire has now been linked to both Ontario teams as they each try and find a long term solution in goal.

Wild and Red Wings updates

The Detroit News is reporting that the Wings are not likely to make a mega deal at the deadline this year and the startribune.com is reporting that Gaborik is well ahead of schedule and it set to return in about 2 weeks.

Canadiens Notes and Devils and Coyotes to swing a deal?

The New York Post is reporting that the Coyotes and Devils may make a deal. Cyberpress is reporting that Gainey has likely finished his shopping in Montreal and that the Guerin to Montreal rumors are just that … rumors.

Wild and Ducks Updates and Rumors

The Star Tribune is reporting that Doug Risebrough (Wild G.M.) is not tipping his hand regarding a possible trade. In other news (different article) it appears that the Ducks will meet with Neidermayer to find out his intentions for the future.

Senators and Jackets to Swing a Deal?

The Columbus Dispatch is reporting a rumor of a possible deal between the Blue Jackets and Senators. This rumor would see the Senators obtain a goalie.

Hawks to be active at the deadline?

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that the “could be active as they look to bolster their roster for a run to the postseason.”

Roberts open to a Calgary return

The Calgary Herald is reporting that Gary Roberts is “open to a return to Calgary.”
